Hi all!  I know this is not WLS related, but I have a question about planting/gardening.   I bought a four pack of berries at Sam's Club.  1 raspberry, 1 blackberry, 1 grape (green), & 1 blueberry.  The packaging gives planting instructions, but not when to plant.   Being that I am a CA native transplanted to the midwest, I don't know if it is too soon to plant or not.  I don't want to kill them if there is a frost or something.   I am new to this gardening thing also, as my DH calls me blackthumb 'cause everything I touch dies.  I am hoping with my weight loss I will have more energy to stay on top of things. Anyway, thanks for any help!

since berries are a perennial you can go ahead a plant them now. if you think it is going to get really cold like 20 or lower for several nights in a row, then if you want to cover them with something but dont let it touch the plant and remove it as soon as the sun comes out or it gets above 32. I would say that you dont have to worry about them at all unless we have a really deep freeze like we did last year the first of may.
