First post: Attended Dr. Price's Seminar tonight
Hi! I'm new to posting on here, but have been a member on OH for about a year. I attended Dr. Price's seminar tonight and have my consult on April 16. I am so excited!
I'd love to talk to any of Dr. Price's other patients and share in the process. Looking forward to getting to know some folks.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Jan, I did not mean to imply that I only wanted to talk to Dr. Price's patients. Sorry if it seemed that way. I am completely interested in talking to any and everyone and love to hear success stories and can't wait to get this whole process going.
Glad to be here.

I started my journey with Dr. Price January 16th. I complete my 3 month diet and exercise program on April 30th. At first it seemed like a long time before I could even think about surgery being scheduled, but time has passed quickly.
The staff at Dr. Price's office is really nice. Thelma and Tricia are easy to work with. You get so much good information from them. Tricia really pushes daily exercise and I'm not sure I will ever exercise 7 days a week, but I'll try. I had knee surgery in January and looks like I will need the other knee repaired soon so I'm a little hindered exercising.
Good luck!!

I am planning on having RNY. I don't know that my insurance requires a diet before surgery. I have insurance through my husband's employer and he works with several people who have had both gastric bypass and lap band. The lap band patients had to do a 6 month supervised diet. The gastric patients haven't said anything about a diet before surgery. I am okay with it either way though. If I do have to do one, then it will just better prepare me for eating well after surgery. If I don't have to, then all the quicker (hopefully) we'll get to the surgery date.
I'm so ready to feel good and energetic and healthy!
