I called Adrian at Dr. Price's office and got her VM.  I thought it would be days before I heard from her, but she called me back in seconds.  She has given my file to Sandi for insurance filing.  The only thing missing is the psych eval and that has been requested from the psychologist.  I did that eval in January.  Can't believe she never provided them a report.   I'm hoping and praying Sandi will get it submitted this week. Jo, I have been thinking about you. I called Dr. Price's office yesterday to check that they have all my records and was given a voicemail to an accute .............. I left a message and am still waiting for a call back. Is that Adrian's voicemail? I have done all the requirements and am just waiting on sleep study results. I'm just a bit behind you. We may be having surgery around the same time!!! Brandy

When they transferred me to that number I thought they sent me to the wrong number.  I left a message for Adrian but called back to ask and was assured that is her number.  Here is her direct line:  932-4683. I left her a message yesterday and she called me right back. It's so frustrating to be waiting and waiting and waiting...... Jo

Thank you for the info!  I just callled and left a message for her.  I completed my 3 months yesterday; saw Trish this morning; and spoke with Thelma yesterday via phone.  I turned in a complete chart (I hope) a few months ago.  I currently have Aetna, but our new Aetna plan begins July 1.  I've already paid in quite a lot toward my deductible.  Cassie L's chart has been sent to insurance and she's been waiting a few weeks for the big answer.   Let's just hope we get through the last hoop(s) quickly...Hot-Flash

So when you left her a voicemail the first time how long did you wait for a call back? Several days or did you call back before she got back to you? They should have all my records except my sleep study, which I just had done on the 16th. They should get it any time though, then I think I"m good to go. I'm so ready to have this surgery!!!! Oh, how are you doing on the exercise regimen that Tricia has you on? I'm up to 30 minutes of cardio 6 days per week. I'm actually enjoying it. I do sub one day of walking per week with my yardwork, but I push mow both front and back yards, then do the trimming, then pull weeds, then use the blower. I checked my heartrate and it was in my target range so I assume it's a good sub. I had shin splints last week but got rid of them by walking on something other than concrete for a few days. (One day on treadmill, and a couple walking on a trail) Hope you're doing well! Brandy

How did you like that sleep study?  The pits wasn't it?  I didn't hear anything on my study and called the office.  Nikki said someone should have contacted me.  I was referred to Dr. Meilo at Midwest Pulmomology, great doctor.  I've seen her twice and will see her again June 5th.  I have the CPAP and supposed to get used to it for surgery, but I'm not doing very well with it.  Just can't get comfortable with it on.  I'm going to try again this weekend. If you haven't heard anything on your sleep study, better call the office. As for the exercise, I exercise about 4 times a week at the Y.  I will never exercise 7 days a week and don't think you need to.  Personally, I think Tricia's requirements are a little too much.  I have torn cartilage in my left knee and I'm trying to avoid surgery.  I'm sure after I  get a chunk of weight off I will have more energy and more apt to exercise more. I had my sleep study done down here in Clinton. The doctor *****ads them is from St. Lukes. I was told it would be 2 weeks before I hear any results. My sleep study sucked! I could not get to sleep no matter what I tried. The tech said if I got to sleep and she could prove I had sleep apnea before 2:30 a.m., then she'd go ahead and fit me for CPAP, but I didn't even have any episodes until 2:30 a.m. so she couldn't fit me. I'll probably have to go back. In the meantime I am starting the low iodine diet so that I can have a body scan in a couple weeks. I had thyroid cancer in November 2005 and need to get a scan to make sure it's still gone. I hate the low iodine diet!!!! I hope you hear soon whether or not you're approved. Brandy

The lady told me she might come in and fit me with a mask but she didn't.  I stopped breathing 26 times on my back and only 5 on my side.  The pulmonologist said I need it for surgery and after when I'm on my back, but when I come home after surgery I won't need it. I'm having a problem getting used to it.  Haven't used it for the last week.  Hubby was fitted at the same time and wears his every night.  I'm going to try again this weekend.  I feel like I'm smothering in it. Never heard of the iodine diet.  Doesn't sound like fun. Jo

The low iodine diet is not fun. It's not for weight loss, but to starve my body of iodine so it will soak up the radioactive iodine they give me for the scan. I pretty much can only eat fresh fruits and veggies and fresh meats. I hope to hear about my sleep study soon. I'm so anxious to get my insurance submitted. Have a good weekend! Brandy
