Dr. Price's Patients - Please Check-In!
My surgery is on MONDAY!!! I am so excited for now. I am sure on Monday I will be scared. I have been on the liquid diet now for about forever! IT SUCKS!! It has been so hard! I have lost some weight though. I am not sure how much weight but I know my clothes are starting to get pretty baggy. This weekend I am going down to Lake of the Ozarks (to my Moms) and swim all weekend long to keep my mind off of the surgery! I can't believe my life is going to change forever in just a weekend!

My surgery is scheduled for July 8th. I start my liquid diet the 24th. I think it will be tough being on the diet and working, but it only be 4 days next week and 3 the next. We're off July 3rd and 4th and I'm taking the 7th off too. I see Adrienne Wednesday, June 25th.
I went out to lunch, made a really bad choice, but as I looked over the menu I realized there is little there I will eat after Monday.
My supervisor ask if I could delay the surgery since an employee is off on medical leave. I told her if I reschedule, I have to be precertified by insurance again. I just don't want to reschedule. This is something I've worked on for months. I'm so ready to move forward.
It's hard to believe in 3 weeks I will have had the surgery and starting a new life. I put winter clothes in storage and thought to myself they will all be going to a consignment shop in the fall.
How is Donna doing?

Hi there Jo, it was me that posted the Dr. Price question. My file was submitted to insurance yesterday, June 17. I knew there was a handful of us that had started around the same time with Dr. Price. I think I'll call Aetna on Friday to see if my file has been reviewed yet. Just think, this time next year how much thinner we will be!
Yesterday I didn't like what I brought for lunch, so I bought chicken tenders and fries, not a good choice at all. I'm still suffering from it this morning. Just can't eat fried at all. I know it was a very poor choice and I should have gotten something healthy, but it seems now I don't want to bother with thinking about what I'm eating.
As I looked over the menu at the deli, I thought there is nothing on there I will eat after surgery except the baked potato. The menu is mostly sandwiches and salads. I may be able to eat a salad but a very small one.
I'm a little nervous but excited. I thought you insurance was submitted several weeks ago. Hope you get approval as quickly as I did.

I am currently in the 3 month diet phase. One more month before Sandy submits my paperwork to the insurance. I've been doing tons of research, trying to understand what it is that I need to do preop and postop. I haven't made changes yet.....I'm so ready but at the same time scared about the "new" me that will be here in a few short months. Dr. Price and his team are absolutely wonderful. Shannon
