My Wig

My hair has been falling out and it was already thin.  Yesterday was a really bad hair day.  Bald is NOT becoming to me.  There's a little wig shop close to my office so I went there to look yesterday.  I came out with a beautiful wig.  I have gotten numerous comments.  Even men tell me how nice my hair looks.  I feel a little guilty not telling them it's a wig but they don't need to know.

DH loves it and said I should get another one so I have another style.

The shop is called Gigi's and it's at 1221 Grand in Kansas City.  Her prices are the best.  I got a human hair wig for $60.

I had priced wigs online but was afraid to order.  If you return the wig, there's a fee.

I highly recommend this shop.

Jo,

You have to post some pics so we can see you in your new wig!  I know there are quite a few on the board who may be interested in a wig.

Glad you found one that you like!

Hi Jo,

I'm so glad you found a wig you like! I finally ordered my wig this week too and after the two visits I had to the wig shop... they did not go well... I am kind of dreading it coming ... I sure hope that it turns out better than I am anticipating!

But I am so very thrilled you found one you like... Deb D. is right you should post some pics... I know two other ladies that wear them and they look simply fantastic in theirs!

Thanks for posting it gives me hope!

Bec, I'll be interested to hear how you like your wig.  I tried on many before settling on one.  The lady was really good at assessing what was the best style.  My wig has a lot more hair than I've had for a long time so I'm still getting used to it.

Jo,

Boy do I know what you mean about more hair than you are used to.. when I tried them on I felt like I had a big ole fur ball stuck right to my forehead!  It just stressed me out something terrible!  I am hoping that if I have the wig here at home I can get used to it by myself before I have to go out in public in it....?

I was in a car accident on 9~11 and my head went thru the windshield and pulled the hair right in front out by the roots and it never came back... and I had real fine hair before so I was kind of at a disadvantage to start out with...

I went and got my hair cut this week but I simply can't get it to do what I want it to do!  I told someone if your hair ain't right the world ain't right! ~tee hee  and it's not looking to good for me right now!

I seen you are in Raytown.... could you come to the lunch on the 19th?  at Peggy's house in Raymore?  It would be wonderful to meet you, there is a fantastic group of ladies coming!  It would be so wonderful for you to come too!  and then you could model that beautiful wig for us in person! ~ha

Thanks for your comments on the wigs... the whole "hair" thing has sure been a source of stress for me.

Hope you can come on the the 19th!  let me know if you need more information and I'll hook you up with Peggy if you have not been already...

Bec
