WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

My bones are hurting , I guess that means rain...it sure doesn’t look like it here , beautiful sunny day all day on Friday....Will see what Saturday brings. Right now at 7:30 Friday night it is still 78% .  I didn’t get up again this morning until 8 am again. what in the world is going on this is so unlike me ....am I changing again ?lol 

 

What did I do on Friday? Not a lot  did a little weeding in the garden , not much till Joe hollered and ask if I was ready to go so I said yeah ...went in and washed my hands and feet and put on sandles and off we went to Home Depot to get some things that we needed to fix up the tub surround, paint for the red accent wall in the trailer. Got the trim to put down around the area where the laminate flooring meets the tile at the front door. And got some baseboard to start putting down in the kitchen , living room and hallway...will probably have to go back and get some more ,,,just didn’t know how much we needed.  Hopefully I can get Joe to start his stuff but don’t know he is sure acting weird lately....he hasn’t had any cigs. For several days and I guess that is what it causing it. but stupid for him to think we can afford cigs. For him to burn up... we just cant afford it and im tired of not being able to pay stuff here and there for him to smoke...wont hurt him to quit in fact it might save his life.  His mama died from lung cancer from cigs and his sister died from cancer too so his chances of getting cancer is pretty strong.  Oh K I will get off the soap box ....sorry guys.

 

We stopped at a green house out close to here that was having a big plant sale ,,,,huge petunias selling for 50 cents apiece. I bought enough to fix up two big hanging pots.  The double purples and snowy white one. They are a really pretty pots. Also bought 4 huge  foxgoves. And a blue cardinal flower that looks a lot like foxglove too. and wanted some poppys and she said she was out but looked and looked and found 2 small plants of them and just gave them to me...I hope they grow and multiply....i love the real bright orangy-red ones.

I was outside planting this all up and was getting hot and knew I was and when I started to stand up I got really dizzy and almost passed out...broke out in a sweat...and finally got to the house and stripped my clothes and grabbed a bottle of water , turned on the ceiling fan and got some water in me.....was ok in a short amount of time ...but wow that wasw some funny feelings. So you all be careful out there when it is hot ....drink drink drink lots of water. I know better and im out there every day ,,,,just be careful kids. Ok

 

 Well just got back in the house , had to go turn off my water in the shade garden  I have to keep most of that stuff pretty damp, they are really growing pretty out there. I have some Hostas that are a good 2 feet tall, the astilbes are getting ready to bloom all the coleus are looking good too.

 

;Just wish all of you could see my flowers. If you like flowers at all you would love my gardens ....so come on down . check my web site and see if I have put any new pictures on there since you were there last ....

How is Ricks pain? Hope it got better.   Lol the Antarctic doesn’t have any foods only ice lol maybe some whale blubber?  No I don’t have any hard sided suitcases. Im sure you could find some at old flea markets... I will go over and look at the fire sale barn tomorrow...they have lots of old stuff over there sometimes. And then sometimes it is just junk and not good junk...

 

 

 

LOU::::: wow honey what a lot of stuff you have planned for this summer. That is an awful lot ...how in the world will you get it all done.   Although the reunion was scheduled for Sept 11 and 12 which is after school starts back again im sure you will be going like the energizer bunny even then...    isn’t it great that we are able to do all these things.

I know you are tickled to death that Frank is getting off week ends now.  That is great and wonderful that you are still losing so well. Keep up the good work.

Im going to have to try the Click... does it taste like coffee or what?  Can you get a sample from them ?

 

 

SUSIE:::::: how was the last day of school ....i guess the kids were happy too huh?

So now what are you going to do tomorrow.? And come Monday what do you have planned? 

The reunion was for families too. ...it always is.   I guess we will have the picnic at Sedalia Park the first of July or August. ...it is usually on Sunday and then we go to Dr. Hornbostels support meeting. Don’t have to be his patients...he let us last year consider coming to the support meeting as our yearly meeting up with him if we didn’t have any problems. Pretty neat huh? But nothing is saying that you have to go to his support meeting. He is just neat to hear I think.

 

 

SUSAN::::: thanks for your and Andys help in the garden today....we got almost home today and I told Joe , darn I for got the boxes...hope you can get some Wed and I will try to find more. Ok .

 

 

POOH::::::: I hope you are feeling a little better today. How is your mother? Sometimes we just feel like crap don’t we? I know some days I just don’t want to do anything. And just piddle all day

 

BARB::::: sure hope to see you too when you come down here...you were talking to Susan but hope it meant me too....will try to have the picnic in Sedalia...see above.

 

 

PEGGY::::::::if that stove is like the Chambers it has the openings on there for anytype gas. All you have to do is turn the screw that shuts it  down more.    Did you know that the  Andersen stove was made  by a  former employer of Chambers  that left and started his own company  and made his stove so near the Chambers as he could...He didn’t stay in business too long. But they are almost the same....

I know you are miserable and just know how much better you will feel when it is done.  Sure wish you could have it done sooner too.

I know the Union seems to do some really weird stuff  sometimes... and yeah a lot of companys are doing that  with hiring young  guys that they can pay half as much as they can their older workers.  Don’t know what ever happened to loyality do you? So sad.

Sorry your husband is a complainer, Mine too. Mine use to not be until he had his horrible accident in 99 and since then he gets excited about everything.

 

So sorry that you got sick on the childs meal. I know it isn’t fun for sure. But you are right to just say. Tomorrow is another day..dont beat yourself up about it for sure....and we do have the ability to do it better the next time. lol

Silly girl Jan.....of course I am planning on coming to see you too. Did you think I was going to sneak in the night just to see Susan? LOL Wouldn't that be a sight?

I've had a headache for the last three days, allergies usually cause them to come and stay awhile. Don't get much done when they come.

Hubby went to the Dr about his hand on Thursday and they said he must keep it elevated more so put him in a sling, xrayed it and they said it hadn't moved but isn't doing anything????? Does that mean it hasn't began to heal??? He never ask questions. He goes back in two weeks. Sure wished they would have just cast it.

Don't work so hard please. Love you!

Good morning to all.andy and i just got back from our walk.we went down to the lake.the water sure is coming up fast.rebel went down there with us.he went into the water.look's cloudy yet here.hope the sun come's out like it was yesterday.it sure was nice.

jan how was your supper last night?did you get to make your chicken?i had a piece of cod.first time i had any kind of fish since my surgery.it was really good.went down ok.we got some fish at walmart.4 ounce's pieces 4 to a pkg.was only around 3.99.each piece is wrapped by their self.

susie we heard shouting down here.was that you after school let out.lol.

barbara just let us know when you are coming.we have saved lot's of hug's for you.looking foward to seeing you again.

peggy we know you are looking foward to your trip.hope you dont see no stuffed critter's.lol.my brother would be the one with all the stuffed critter's.he like's to hide them everywhere.

pooh bear how are you doing today?i know your hubby just cut the grass but this rain they are calling for will just make it grow again.sometime's i think it has miracle grow plant food in it.lol.

lou you just keep on going.when is your daughter out of school.sound's like your summer is filled.hope to see you and your mom again soon.

My DH is planting more flowers.  So glad he enjoys doing that.  I love the flowers but not the planting and caring for them.  Jan, you and Max would have a lot in common.

The Protein Ice Cream was delicious and only took about 15 minutes to make it.  Last year I used the Donivier ice cream maker that's a hand crank.  The mixture froze to the sides of the bowl and it was next to impossible to get it off.  I hesititated spending so much for an ice cream maker but I will get my money's worth.

We went to breakfast at IHOP.  Before surgery I would get the stuffed French toast but not today.  DH had that and I had a bite.  Way too sweet.  Definitely not something I would eat now.  I had an egg, couple bites of ham and half a pancake and I was stuffed.

Shopped at Kohl's for the special 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. sale.  Got a really cute pair of sandals in size 7.  I was an 8 or a wide 7 1/2.  Makes me feel so good.

I've been keeping my calories around 1000 but I'm not losing anything.  The same 4 lbs. has been on and off for weeks.  Guess I'm going to have to cut the carbs.  I try to keep them 100 or below but just can't lose with that many. 

Does anyone else think it's odd we've had the surgery, limit our calories and consume probably more protein that we ever did before and still can't lose unless we keep those carbs way down?

Good afternoon Jan and All.
Whew it is warm today.And Gail and Nikki are trying to kill me off LOL. We put up the pool and the trampoline today.Takes along time. Will take the pool abot 2 days to fill. Then a good week of 80 degree weather to warm it up enough to even get in LOL. Had to run to walmart to get some super alge kill 14 buxs a bottle sheesh, plus the chlorine tablets are almost 3 buxs a peice . plus the super shocket too,filters. not counting the water bill lol. BUt Nikki and I have fun in it so it is worth it.And we get a discount on the water bill for when we fill the pool.So that is pretty nice.

I am just so excited about our garden,I had to mud the corn,beans,zuchinni,tomatos,peppers and other squash in last week and they are already coming up. Put in 2 more rows of corn.16 hills of cucumbers,more white squash and nikki planted her sunflowers last night. Will let the cucumbers start coming up then put out 8 more hills of them, I sure hope our pepper plants produce good peppers .I hate having to pay a small fortune for ones at walmart to make bread and butter pickles. I planted yellow tomatoes to this yr just cuz they are pretty LOL.Hope they taste good like the red ones.i might try to go out in a bit and plant a few potatos either they will grow or they wont.guess we will see.
I talked to Mom yesterday,She sounds depressed and very tired but she wont admit to it.I have read and reread everything i can find on the net and i dunno why cuz it just scares the crap outta me, Mom acts like everything is just hunky dory.Maybe its her way of coping with the unknow that is to come.I really liked Andys Bible devotion today. Isn't it weird that when something bad is going on in our lives it always seems like the words are speaking to us? for the last 3 days i have felt like they are speaking right to me.
I have alot of forgiving to do and alot of acceptance to accept and I just hope i can do it before it is to late.
I don't aim to keep whinning about all this but i feel like i can share with ya'll and get some good advice, Peggy has been wonderful.I am so blessed to have her as a friend .Along with the rest of you.
