In need of personal support, please
I had surgery in 2006, had some complications. Had sclerotherapy done a year ago. Then I got put on some psychotropic drugs and gained 60 pounds. Now I'm only 30 pounds lighter than when I had surgery. I'm discouraged and feeling very hopeless. I want to lose the weight I've gained. I don't care if I get down to my initial goal weight. I just want to weigh less than 200 pounds. (I currently weigh 262 lbs.)
I have my husband who is a great moral support, but feels just as lost as I do. Other than that I really don't have any friends or support. I live in the boonies and don't really have a social life. So I'm looking for support online. Someone who will check in with me every so often, give me a kick when I need it, and maybe give me some suggestions on getting back on track.
I know what I need to do, I'm just having a hard time getting motivated to do it.
Have you been in my shoes and succeeded anyways? Can you help me?
Thanks in advance.

if you could come to the support meeting in Springfield on the 27th it might help you a whole lot too....look down the line here on the board there is a notice about the Circle of Friends meeting 'that is the one im talking about ok? i would love to see you there. I just handed the leadership role over to Lou last month for awhile or until she gets tired of it or whatever.
It is a great goup of people that have had every imaginable thing happen , so you wont feel alone about your problems. just get on the board daily too and we all will have all sorts of advice. my biggest one would be right now to go to www.5daypouchtest.com and follow that for 5 days it helps get the craving for carbs and nasty stuff out of your system and if at the end of it you are still not over the carb craving do it anouther 5 days....are you able to walk well? if so today in between rains....i want you to walk 10 minutes ....just 10 no more ok? walk at a good pace not so fast that you cant talk but a good speedy walk ok then let me know how you did ok???
we are here and we love you and we want to help......and i sure hope i can see you at the support meeting.

I know I'll get back on track sometime, I'd just rather it be sooner than later.
Also I'm disabled; so I'm home alone most of the time. I get so lonely I eat a lot. I need suggestions on how to stop that. My main problem is grazing.
I'm going to see my bariatrician (he's not the surgeon, but a specialist in bariatric care) next month. I think I'm going to see if I can have the sclerotherapy done again because my stoma is stretched still.
We're having a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday, so I'm planning on doing the 5 dpt on Monday. I've done it once before and felt a lot better afterwards, I've just been lazy about doing it again.
I just want to have a life again! Please stay in touch and thanks so much for just being there!

This is such a nice website and so many helpful people. Having a hobby might help you with your grazing issues. Knitting or crocheting are good hobbies because both hands are busy. I'm an avid reader but some people like to eat while they read.
Make a daily menu plan and stick to it. Get creative in the kitchen. I love to cook and I'm always trying something new. There are a lot of great recipes here and at BariactricEating.com.
I'm a little over a year out so I'm not as experienced at this new life style as some others on this board. I love getting into smaller clothes and just feeling so good and energetic.
Good luck to you and hope to here of your progress as time goes on.
