Yeah!!!!! Your back......just sad it's for a short time.

Jeanie was back and I think she is off again and having trouble with her truck. The place you bought (can't believe you did that...LOL)  sounds beautiful. That ought to keep you two busy. Brenda worries us all but we keep praying.

Tell us what Sugar thinks of your leaving the country...she has been awful quiet about it.

Can't wait to see you again.

Well not back in the area but we are back now on U.S. soil.....sorry i havent been on here but have been doing good to get on long enough to get here too. we had the greatest time in the world except for the fact of hearing about Brenda I know she is pissed about this i know i would be. I have been praying for her daily and she has been on my mind a lot....

How has everyone been doing? Jeanie is she back yet?
We bought us a place down there in Intag Valley if you want to look it up you can see how beautiiful it is...we have banana trees like you wouldnt believe , lots of other fruits trees , 800 coffee plants and a good chicken house to grow pullets in. plus three fresh water ponds to grow talapia in....and across the road is a river with a water fall that you can see from the house. and there is an area to grow lots of other vegetables. .....there are hot springs close to us that the water comes out of the volcanos..and a zip line close to us too....some old ruins close to us too ...so lots to see and do right close to us then we can alwas go to the coast within a couple of hours....so if you all want to come anytime your welcome. of course we arent going to be living there until about july or august.we will be back in Mo the end of April...when is the meeting in April we might be there in time for that. we will see but anyway wanted to say hi right now....and im downloading pictures on my computer will try to get some on facebook tonight if possible.....love you all

Topic: RE: Dumping question
That is definitely what has been happening to me, I don't know from one time to the next how something will affect me.

This pregnancy has been really similar to my other three. The only thing different is less weight gain, but still gain (25 pounds at 34 weeks). My other three pregnancies pre-bypass I gained 70 pounds with each.

The other thing that has changed since being pregnant is before I got pregnant I didn't dump on sugar at all...now it seems most sugars I do dump (I guess this is good because it keeps me on track).

Stay on your supplements because even though I wasn't faithful with them in the beginning, I now have to be because my last series of blood work showed low iron, low vitamin D, and low B12.

At 32 weeks, they started me on weekly ultrasounds and biophysical profiles because of the bypass. Also I had to have an echocardiogram at the beginning because of the bypass and a followup six months after the first because they found a ruptured chorda (tendon) of my mitral valve that I didn't have in a previous echo I had in 2002.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
Jennifer

When I used to help do RNY we had to make sure the area in question was stitched closed really well.  But even then when people loose alot of weight spaces can form.  I had this happen to a friend that was 10 years out.  Cought early she did well.  I'm terriably sad that this has happened and if my prayers could heal Brenda she would have ran out of that hospital weeks ago.  Her and her family are on my mind continually.

I wondered if this was a complication from RNY but it seems kinda far out for this to happen. I had a intestinal issue from scar tissue about a year out and believe me it was painful but easily fixed. My heart goes out to Brenda and I pray she recovers quickly. If you see her give her and her family my love.If there is anything we can do to help let us know.

Lou & Lana,

I'm sorry to hear that Brenda is now battling a brain infection!  I know Barbara S. on the board suffered from the same thing that Brenda did a few years ago.

I had an internal hernia about a year after my rny.  However, Dr. H was able to fix it within about 20 minutes and I went home the next day.  Barbara - maybe you can explain to us what the difference in the internal hernia I had and the one(s) that you and Brenda had.  I know you told me that it was a very serious condition.

Will keep praying for Brenda and her family.  Thanks, Lou for updating us.

We talked at our meeting on the 11th about how this is a known post-surgical complication that can happen. You can Google Bariatric Surgery Internal Hernia and read about it. I had never heard of it happening to anyone and was surprised. I am so concerned for Brenda and her family. I know many are praying for her and am thankful for that.
Hugs,
Lana
