Not sure how much snow we are going to get. Right now they are saying St. Louis metro should get 2-4 but they don't know. Wish they would just admit that, lol. The worst thing about getting snow on Monday/Tuesday is that on Wednesday I go for my mammogram and since we don't have a car that means taking the Metro Bus. That means walking 1/2 mile to the bus stop, waiting on the bus, waiting on the next bus, walking 1/4 mile to the mammogram place and then doing it all in reverse to get back home. Hopefully the busses will link up right so I don't have to wait too long. I'm excited about going with Michael on Wednesday since I will get to weigh. I'm really hoping that scale shows some progress

Michael and I didn't do much today excep****ch football. I did run up to Schnuck's (grocery store) to pick up medicines that had been called in and a few things that they had on sale 10 for $10 (basically $1 a piece, hehe). I'm still doing good with my food/protein intake. I even noticed tonight that after eating 1 1/4 cups of food, my pouch was full. It's been awhile since I've actually felt my pouch full especially with such little food.
Well, I hope everyone had a great day. Bundle up, stay warm and stay safe.

Stay warm y'all.
Hello all my OH friends, Well have been driving more hours, and really feel good about it. Having a little bit of trouble remembering to take all of my vits, but do get in the morning doses. Been getting protein in the morning in my pro-coffee, and making sure I get at least one hot meal a day. We were stuck where the only resteraunt was Arbys and they do have salads, but are way too much for me to eat and I don't have a refrigerator yet. That will all change when I get on my own truck. As long as I buy protein bars and whole grain snacks I feel satisfied so don't crave a lot of junk food. Haven't weighed since I left so as soon as I get close to a scale will make sure I do that. I know I'm losing, cause my clothes are all starting to get too loose feeling. Also had to but a belt to keep my jeans up and have move in 1 notch.
We are in Charlotte, NC to pick up a load and head west with it, we were supposed to go to Loredo, TX, but I think they have changed that to somewhere else, will see when my trainer gets up. We had a difficult pick-up and delivery last night and he spent most of it on duty and didn't get to rest. Things are going well with my driving, I can even back into spots okay, still need a lot of practice though.
Jan~I sure hope things go better for you and you get your deal done so you can be on your way.
Have been reading the posts and it's good to see so many of them, keep it up, I can't always post myself but can usually take time to read some.
Love you all and will talk to you when we get to our next lay-over.
LOVE AND HUGS
I saw something today that i wanted to share with you all::::
MY RESOLUTION :this year is to stick with my resolution for just one day Tomorrow i will worry about tomorrows resolution.... pretty small step but you will achieve it a will feel much better than failing a big resolution.....one small step a day...
I thought that since so many of us are trying to get off this extra weight that it was really a good thought for us....
Jane: i love lifting weight , or rather i use to my shoulders wont let me do it anymore except my little 2 pounds lol that is about all ...I have been using my bands to help...
My dad use to go bird hunting a lot and had English pointers....such pretty dogs ...
Jo:::lol that sounds like a good visual to have about sweets at the office....that no one washes their hands and that the things are full of germs lol
oh yeah dont keep tempting your pouch with sugar, it will eventually get use to it if you keep putting it in there in small bites here and there.
Debbie D::::lol yeah when we go for lab work, the things that Dr. H want checked it take a lot of tubes of blood to get all of it...but he leaves no stone unturned to see if you are taking your vits or if you need to increase some of them ...
you sounds like a determined young woman to be taking classes to make yourself more marketable.
the hair falling out and being dry may part of it be your throid but a lots of time it is nothing more than not getting in enough protein....and i dont know about everyone else unless i get at least 60 grams a day with protein shakes i start losing hair by the handsfull.....you know what i cant understand is that everyone understands that they dont absorb all the minerals and vits from food , what makes them think that they absorb all the protein out of their food and that they dont need extra protein in the form of Whey protein...which by the way is the only type of protein powder that is fully absorable by us....
lol didnt mean to get off on a triade Deb.....
Have you heard from Bec lately? tell her to write or call me....cant seem to get hold of her.....
Deana: you know when I go on the 5 day pouch test i very seldom lose much weight it just seems to tighten up my pouch again and makes me have that really tight hurting feeling if i eat one bite too much .
Glad you found that you can go with Michael
lol about those evil marshmallows

There's not too much else going on around here. My mom did run me to the grocery store today and I made some healthy choices and found myself looking at food labels again. Cody is with my mom this weekend (he is most weekends). It gives Michael and I some alone time and give Mom her grandma time. She really looks forward to it. We lived with her for so long that she gets real lonely being the only one in the house now. Michael and I don't really have anything planned this weekend. Money is short this month with it being a long 5 week month (we only get paid once a month). But just spending time together is all I really need. Hope everyone had a wonderful day and has a fantastic weekend. Keep the faith, we can all do this!!!
P.S. Forgot something. I got good news today. To save money Michael called the company that handles transportation for his insurance to schedule a ride to his doctor appt. next week. I was kinda bummed that we couldn't afford to take the bus so that I could go with him because they let me use their scale. When he scheduled the pick-up he found out that I can go along!! YEAH!!!! Now I will get to weigh in and see if all this hard work is paying off.
Boy, it's been a very busy day for me today! Had 14 vials of blood taken this morning. Then went to Walmart. Then home and have the makings of home made chicken stock in my 18 quart Nesco. Also have a 9 lb turkey breast cooking in my convention oven. (I've had this double oven for over 2 years and have never used the convention oven) so we will see how it turns out. I've also fried the hot Italian sausage I need to put on top of the stuffed shells I'm making for dinner tonight. Luke goes back to college Sunday and I've tried to cook all the meals he has requested. The stuffed shells is the only one I hadn't got to yet. I'll only have 1 shell so shouldn't be too bad for me. I decided to take an hour or so and just have some down time! lol!
Those of you who are doing the 5 day pouch test have inspired me. That's the primary reason I'm making home made chicken stock, the 2 roasting chickens and the turkey breast. I'm hoping to start the 5 day pouch test on Sunday 1/16. Have too much stuff going on this next week (Jake turns 16 a week from today!) and trying to get my closet organized and get ready for the Microsoft Office Class I start on the 20th. If I start on the 16th the last day of the test will be the day I start my class. Should be okay, I'm thinking. I've gained 18 lbs and would like to lose at least 15 of that! I've started back (today) on at least 2 protein shakes a day. My hairdresser says my hair is the worst she's ever seen it. I know it's from lack of protein and my thyroid may have something to do with that too. Will see what all that lab-work I had done today shows. My next apt with Dr. H is Tuesday 1/18.
We're also in the process of getting bids to replace our roof. I knew it needed to replaced for awhile now but my DH just kept ignoring it. I finally insisted HE call a roofer. Sure enough we have a lot of wind and hail damage. Insurance adjuster came out and they are going to pay for a new roof plus new gutters!! PTL! We still will have to pay a pretty hefty deductible but it's a lot less than it would be for an entire new roof and guttering system! Hope to have the last bid by this afternoon. David and I will go over them this weekend. There is one that offers the most and has the best price. Plus they are in Overland Park, rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau and have received the top roofing company award in the kc metro area for the last 2 years. But like I said we still have one more bid that hasn't come in yet. I just want the roof done before the really bad weather gets here!
David is still working as a 1099 contractor. The job was suppose to end the middle of December and now they're saying the end of March. David has a couple of really good job prospects that should be opening up within the next couple of months. We are still trusting the Lord to take care of us and to provide David with the best job he's ever had! I have to believe God is still on his throne and He is still in control. Don't get me wrong, it's been a long 2 years and we are so tired of struggling. It feels like our live has been put on "pause" for the past 2 years. God is teaching me patience, preservance and that He is with us even in the "pauses" of life!
We still have a little bit of $$ of David's mother's estate but that won't last but another year or so the way it's going. David works the hardest he has ever worked and is getting paid the least! I know he is disheartened. Please keep us in your prayers.
Mama Jan - I'll be praying those people buy that rental house like they've agreed to do and that you all can get all the paperwork signed so you and Joe go on your adventure! Please remember your laptop and digital camera! I expect to read and see all about your adventure. Sure wish I could tag along! lol Seriously, enjoy your vacation, you and Joe deserve it!!
G.I. Jane - Where do you live? I would love to be your workout partner! I know it would really help to keep me on track. I am going to start walking at the gym at least 3 times a week. Also have a free session with their trainer which I've never taken advantage of. I'm going to try and set it up sometime next week. I have absolutely no body strength!! Gotta get myself back in some sort of shape. Congrats on the weight loss, it only gets better!
Jo - I'll try and call you sometime soon about that Precept Study in Lee's Summit. Did you get the Inductive Study Bible yet? If you haven't, there's a lady on EBay that sales the hardback ones for like $28 and that includes s&h. The hardback ones at the stores are over $50! I have never bought a hard back one but I think I'm going to on this one.
Mo Peeps - Hope all of you have a GREAT weekend.
Love all of you!
Debbie D.
