I had my surgery in Columbia as well. You may want to call your insurance company and ask them for help in locating a bariatric program in your area. I really am not familiar with SE Mo at all.

Its hard to believe that 3 years is around the corner.  Life has had its up and downs, but I have to say mostly ups.  I'm not on here too much anymore, I'm trying to get out and enjoy my husband and family all I can.  We are going and doing things I only dreamed would be possible.

I started out at 330 lbs, I now weigh 147.  Praise GOD for health!!!! A true miracle!

Hi all,

I'm 6 yrs post RNY gastric bypass done at New Start (St Alexius Hospital - NOT a great experience) in St. Louis.  Shortly after my surgery, my surgeon retired, and I switched my care to a physician in Paducah, KY.  Did great with his care until he quit practice in 2009.  Since then my care has been managed by primary care physician.  This hasn't really worked well, since bariatrics not a familiar specialty to him.  I really need to find a bariatric surgeon in state.  I live in Southeast Missouri - so none located anywhere close - but am looking to the St Louis area again since it's the closest (2 hours away). Just do NOT want to see anyone connected with New Start.  Please, any suggestions appreciated.   Thanks!

good morning Susan, and all others here.   well we got thru with the auction, didnt sell the house yet , have some good leads hope we can get it done before we go..sure dont want to go off with this to still worry about.
Been packing pictures this morning. went and bought picture boxes the other day from U haul. not a lot of money but good protection of my pictures ....the expensive ones that i painted lol and the really good ones like the two that Debbie d and her hubby gave me for Christmas one year. i wouldnt part with them for anything.

we have to take a load of stuff to Joes brothers one day next week and then next week end we have our family reunion. hopefully i will have everything packed and ready to go by then. then all i will have to do is dig up some more flowers for some of our relatives. they sure like the flowers but i dont think the shovel fits their hands or something like that anyway lol poor little things....

well better get back to working so i can get some of this stuff done....we have about 30 boxes to get ready to mail to our mail box in Ecuador so they will be there when we get there....
well got to go and get busy again , cant wait to get there and start planting lots and lots of bougenville....(sp)
