Yeah I think that it is hard to remember that it took 30 years or whatever to weigh this much. I want to lose much more so quick and then I wonder why it doesn't work.

Thank you, guess I am too impatient once things start happening I went in to keep going at that pace. I have to remember it took me 30 some yrs to add all this weight and I won't lose it over night.
Good luck on your upcoming surgery.

Barb,
26 pounds in 1 month is great. I haven't had my surgery yet so I haven't had that experience yet. I have heard though several times that if you aren't losing pounds you are losing inches. If your clothes are baggy, your family really notices, and the booth is farther away that tells me you are in fact doing great. Keep up the good work.

Topic: One month since surgery
It has been a month since surgery and seems like I hit a plateau. I had promised myself I would only weigh once a week..............duh..........like I could do that the scale is in the kitchen, I put it there to remind me of my weight every time I entered that room.
I have lost 26 lbs. In the last week or so the scale has not moved. People I work with are telling me they can see inches coming off, that is what is keeping me motivated right now.
I had not seen my son for almost 2 months and he showed up at my work on Friday. He did a double take look at me when I called out his name , I was not at my desk when he walked in so he didn't expect to see me where I was standing. He finally said to me an hour later that he could see I had lost.
My DH even said I lost one of my chins.
I can tell my slacks are really baggy and I sat in a booth in a restaurant and I actually had space between the table and my belly.
I am going to sign up and pay my daughter's membership at the local YMCA so we can do some exersice together. Walking is very hard for me I had a hip replacement last Jan. (and that hip is doing great). I need the other hip done and when I walk any distance it really hurts so I am going there to see what kind of exercises I can do with weights that don't involve my hip. I had been going to a swim class but that involved having to be late for work 2 hrs everytime I went to that class. And the days I would go to the swim class I had to work through my lunch hour. I won't do that anymore I need to eat my meals at a regualar time away from my desk so I don't wolf them down.
I go for my first fill in 10 days, I can't wait for that I have started feeling hungry at times and that scares me.
