I had Dr. Needleman Dec. 2009. I really like him and the OSU program. It is important to let them know what's going on if you are having problems; I had an infection in one incision and was helped out right away when I called the office. Also, the 6 classes prior are great help and even more help is the support group that meets the 1st and 4th Wed of the month. The help is there... but you do have to seek it out. We all experience pain after surgery, but it is worth it! After 2 months of recovery, I felt like a new person.

Your Aunt will be very pleased you are celebrating her 80th birthday with her.  We will miss you, however enjoy your Aunts party.  God Bless her.    Not everyday you celebrate 80 years!

It is my intention that everyone attending the WLS Buckeye Meet and Greet will have a great time, meet many terrific WLS members, hear great speakers, learn, win door prizes and just have fun!!!



 

Support groups do make a world of difference! I have attended January and February's meetings at the Cleveland Clinic (2nd Thursday of the month 5:30-7:00 pm). My surgery will be there next week. I've learned so much in that short time and think it will help on the road to recovery.

OSU has meetings 2/month - 1st and 3rd Thursday I believe 7-8:15 pm...  google it for specifics -- I think the psychologist leads on the 3rd Thursday dates...

Riverside Methodist Hospital - Fresh Start also has meetings.. .not sure of their schedule!

Dr. Heck @ Riverside did a friend's abdominoplasty and also did my breast reduction and my aunt's breast reconstruction after mastectomy. His office staff are great and I was able to reach him when I had a question even while he was on vacation.
