Topic: RE: Kettering Shed and Share meetings
If there's a meeting on Thursday, I'm definitely interested in attending it. The information I have is that the meetings are in the waiting room of the New Life Surgery center on the 2nd floor of the medical building of Kettering Hospital, but that's several months old. Which location is accurate?

Since Dr. Anderson's office is under renovation are they still doing meetings somewhere?
Havent been there in a while - still on for this thursday - I may try to attend.

Just to let you know. We have nothing to do with the hospital. The gal who started the group works at one of the doctor's office in the building on the south-east corner. The hospital is good enough to allow us to use the room under the ER. If we get much larger we may have to see if they have a larger room we can use. That is a good problem to have, since the group was about to be stopped about the time I joined. Last two meeting we have had around 12 or 13 at the meeting and several new ones trying to work out the time thing.
We are more than happy to welcome you to the group and feel free to bring any one along. This meeting is open discussion, so bring your questions.

Sorry I am so slow with a reply. There is a meeting this Thursday (Jan.20) at 6:00PM. We meet at Memorial Hospital in Lima. We should have signs to direct you to the meeting room. You can come in the ER entrance or the Main entrance. We use a meeting room that is actually under the ER.
I try to leave my card at the front desk, so you can call my cell if you have a problem finding us.
Hope to see you there. Sounds as if you are well on your way to a new life. With a name like shutterbugjunkie, I need to keep you away from my sister who is a camera nut, She also has had the D/S surgery as I have.

Yeah a few times it has bothered me with food around. My son was eating Wheat Thins as he decided to come lay in bed with me to visit and it took every ounce of control not to grab the box and chow down! UGH! i really want to crunch something already! I have been wanting certain things too, not hungry just all in my head! Off to see the doc in a bit for the big weigh in, i will keep you all posted! glad to see im not alone in the recovery process!

Congrats to all 3 of you!
I revised from lap band to RNY in November, and I can tell you that I had a side stitch for 3 to 4 weeks, not a constant pain, but annoying pain on my left side, my Dr said it was normal and would go away around 3 to 4 weeks, and it did.
Best wishes!

Congratulations on your surgery. I am enjoying some Unjury Chicken Broth right now. I had my surgery on 12/27/10. I had both my gallbladder and appendix removed in the process. I am somewhat sore and yes the gas pains can be troublesome. I am learning how to eat and remembering how to work in all of the vitamins and protein drinks. It's work but worth it.

Jim, spoke with you on the phone, on Friday. Glad to hear the meetings are still active at Lima Memorial. You said the 3rd Thursday of the Month, at 6pm, in the Emergency Conference Room.
Thank you so much for your help.
