another WOW!

I am cleaning the house today because Mom and stepdad are coming to stay with us a couple of days when he has rotator cuff surgery. I needed a break so thought I'd ck out the boards....decided to tell another wow. Yesterday I went through all my boxes of smaller clothes while my daughter and I watched a movie.  Before I tried on each and every item I said, "This won't fit yet."  or "I KNOW this one won't fit yet!"  80% of it fit, 5% was too tight and 15% of it was TOOOOOO BIGGGG!!!!!!! We obviously can't really tell how much our body is changing so if you have smaller clothes in boxes...DON'T WAIT TOO LONG TO TRY  THEM ON!!! I have shrunk from a size 30 (OMG did I just post that for all the world to see????) to a size 22 and even some 20's!!! I LOVE MY RNY!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY AND SHARE YOUR WOW'S WITH US! I FIND THEM VERY ENCOURAGING. THEY GIVE THOSE EARLIER IN THE PROCESS SUCH HOPE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN THE RNY JOURNEY!!! Diana

I was talking about this very thing with AmyBeth the other night.  I have a lot of old clothes in the closet I just cant wait to get back into and didnt get rid of them for the very reason that I KNEW one day I would be back in them, or smaller than them.  Thats part of my motivation.

I am jumping for joy for you! that is a wonderful wow moment. I have to admit when my daughter tries to get rid of something I think is cute I take it and put it on a shelf in my closet to remind me that I will be there someday. I have had friends ask why do you keep clothes that are a 20 or 22, dont you want to have something smaller to look forward to.. I tell them I will worry about that later. right now I know I will wear a 20 way before I wear a 10 and I dont plan on going naked between size 40 and size 10.. that usually gets a good laugh.
