John, this is so right-on and inspirational....you are right, I would never being able to lift something as heavy as the weight I lost so far!! And to think we carried all this weight without realizing just how much it really weighs, until it comes off! I am enjoying fitting in all the seats and crossing my legs. You are doing such a great job! - Anna

Hey John, I needed that!  I keep saying I have ONLY lost 33 lbs but today my goal is to find something that weighs that amount and carry it around for a few minutes.  I loved the part about going to the theater.  I haven't been to the theater, Ford Center, or anything like that in years because of the way it feels to sit in those dang seats.  Yesterday we took our 8 yr old to see the Panda movie and I had to lift up the arm rest in between our seats so I could share his seat. ugh.  You are doing awesome and you are an inspiration to me.

John, Congratulations on your excellent weight loss! I'm thrilled for you! But, be very careful about lifting so much so soon after surgery. You're still healing. ; )
Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Well, all, Glitter and I did indeed fit in our seats at Spamalot much better than the last time we were there!   And, Spamalot was wonderful.  John, but those season tickets!  We have had season tickets for years and love it!  We always do the Sunday matinee. I have lost more than the bag of dog chow I buy.  I HATE carrying it into the house and filling the plastic container with it.  I can't believe I carried it with me all day every day for many more years than I care to remember. Denise
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Thanks to everyone for your great comments and encouragement.  Sorry to be so late getting back online... I had to fly today for a training class.  Guess What - I fit into the airplane seatbelt!  It was the first time in many years that I was able to buckle that sucker around me without either a come-along (this is the OK board - most of you probably understand what that is) or an extension.  It was a great feeling!  Don't get me wrong, it was a small plane, completely full, and I was still fairly uncomfortable flying (my shoulders are wider than those damn seats) but I did get the seat belt on! Also - I can't really explain what's going on unless someone is trying to tell me something - when I weighed my checked bag and my carry on backpack together on the scale at the airport they totalled up to 79 pounds!  I was hating to drag them both through the airport... sure am glad I didn't have 79 extra pounds of ME to go along with them! And, last, but certainly NOT least - my scale finally MOVED today!!!  Not much, but it said 299, and I'm latching onto that for all it's worth.  I will be away from my scale all week - probably a good thing - so I'm hoping that by the time I get back on it, I will have lost even more and will never have to see 300+ on there again!  I'm hoping that I'll be able to get in some walking in the evenings while I'm here.  Considering the temperature and humidity that is going on at 10:00 at night, I ought to drop some pounds just walking to class during the day! All you losers have a great week! John

Congratulations!!! Isn't 80 lbs about the size of a third grader? Seriously, that's wonderful. I also liked the way I fit in the seat at Spamalot - I haven't had the surgery yet but I'm getting ready. donna
