Friend says...you can do this without surgery...just do the same type diet
Hi,
I know just what you are saying! Just today my mom said to me well you have lost 10lbs on this 10 day diet why don't you just stay on it. and not have the surgery. I said because I am not going to stay on liquids the rest of my life!! Besides that I am tired of this yo yo stuff! And if anyone thinks this is the easy way out I got news for them they might just not like what I have to say! Sorry I guess its the 10 day diet but I am getting sick of defending my decison too! You hang in there and pray for peace! Thinking of you and sending prayers your way God Bless and I wish you the best of luck!
Karla Personally, I did not want to hear any more advice from anyone. I have to say that prior to the surgery I told Dr. B. that felt ashamed because I could not do it on my own and that my work place has Weigh****chers come in for sessions at work. Anyway, none of my family, not even my children know I had the surgery, (May 7th). All of them have stated in the past that they were against WLS. I do have 2 friends that know and they have both been supportive. I am happier with others not knowing, it says me from everyone else's opinions and ridicule.

The only opinion here that really matters is your own. I have been a diabetic for 15 years. I could lose the weight with crash diets, but as soon as i stopped the weight came back with friends. There is a reason that the FDA is looking into WLS as a CURE for type II diabetes. I went through all these same situations, and the only thing that made me finally decide to have the sleeve, my daughter. I got to the point that i couldnt get in the floor and play with her. And that broke my heart. The last straw, was when she got in my purse, pulled out my needles, and stabbed herself in the stomach (thats what she saw mommy doing) I was devastated. I said enough is enough, if I could have done it by myself, i would have done it before then.
