I'm having a low energy day, not sad, just not inspired. What's so odd is the parrot is having a real fiesta today......maybe that's why I'm not sad. How can you be sad when someone is howling like a wolf and farting all morning?
What's interesting is that a year ago I'd be nibbling on something to counteract the low energy and blahs. Now I'm perfectly content to sooth with a tasty cup of coffee-and I suppose that is a victory of sorts.

He's an OKIE African Grey....LOL.
He farts, coughs and loves' Patsy Cline and Conway Twitty. (My Dad made a CD of oldies that I have set to play for him twice a day....as he's gotten used to the songs he's started improvising and adding his own special touch....so I've gotten hooked on listening to him sing along with the greats)
It's great that liquids are soothing now and I'd certainly say that is a wonderful accomplishment!
Is your thumb and foot hurting or keeping you from sleeping well? If it's limiting your activities now, that can certainly make you feel down when you're used to being really active.
Do you still want to ride tomorrow night with us? If so, be prepared for a soothing and kinda slow ride ... I'm not up to race speeds yet! ; )
I love birds! Give your parrot an extra treat for me! : )

LOL-I should have said farting noises. I don't know if birds can fart or not-but with all that fiber he eats, I wouldn't doubt it. (Btw, he did that when I got him, but I have made it worse by laughing when he does it). Sometimes he'll chuckle, then FART, the shout "oooooh, YOU farted......"; sometimes he just farts and then says "Was that YOU?"
He takes things in spells-and this week has been a gassy week for him...LOL. Although after the wolf documentary last night he's really been howling alot....but apparently according Oliver, wolves howl then let big farts. Dan?????
Soothing sounds good, as does a ride. Pattye, any thoughts about working for yourself again? I know you are talented and creative-so setting something up on Etsy (handmade products) might work. I have a couple of digital cameras, so I'd be happy to come out and take photos and show you how to upload them. Unless you produce thousands of things, you could photograph and upload a lot of stuff in one short day.
