I finally know for sure that, yes, I did have surgery and, yes, Dr. B did give me that banana tummy I asked for!  It's kinda hard to tell when you're in the liquid stage.  But I'm here to tell you that 1/3 of a cup of anything is enough right now.  I have had no icky feelings, no nausea, no nothing but happy!  I feel like a regular person again.  It's amazing how satisfied I am now with such a small amount.  What a pleasure!  I feel so blessed that I was able to have this surgery and that I am now "banana-fied"!  Now all I have to do is rock that banana and I'll lose a bunch of weight!!!  (gotta get it together before we all go see Cowboy in St. Thomas!) Mucho thanks to you all for your kindnesses and support and laughter!  It is the best medicine ever! Kim

I am so excited to hear how it is working!!!  I can't wait for it to be me.  You and Denise are keeping me inspired!  What kinds of foods are you eating?  Maybe I missed that post, I will look through them.  Have you tried scrambled eggs?

I have had ff refried beans, cheddar cheese, string cheese, lf cottage cheese and tuna salad.  I haven't had eggs yet because I'm not that big a fan.  I might try one in the morning!  I'm definitely having chicken salad for lunch tomorrow.  And I want to make some deviled eggs but I remember someone posting that they were hard for her.  We'll see!

Mushies are truly a tiny bit of heaven when you're post op! I'm so happy for you!!!

Yes, it is so relieving when you have mushies and get satisfied so quickly ... I worried a bit, too, when it seemed I could drink liquids too easily. A couple of bites of mushies and you certainly know the difference. ; )

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Amy, so far I have had scrambled eggs, over-easy eggs, refried beans with cheese, cottage cheese, thin sliced deli meat, and tilapia.  All have done well in my tiny tummy.  I doesn't take very much to get full- about 1/3 cup.  Using small plates and bowls (Kohl's) makes like much easier.  I discovered early on to only serve myself the amount I could comfortably eat because my head may still be hungry and that last bite too much is too tempting.  I started eating with a baby spoon to help me keep my bites small.

I remember reading your tilapa post and it sounded so delicious.  I'm going to buy me some tiny tummy plates and spoons so that I can measure out the food.  I know I would be one of those people that kept eating unless I measured out the food.
