Could this wind please BLOW AWAY! Biking incident....funny
In my effort to exercise and reduce stress I headed out on my bike into my neighborhood tonight. Good lord that wind will kick your butt!! I rode until I could ride no more! Then I dismount my bike in the driveway and realize my legs were like cooked noodles when I promptly hit the cement!!! I think I pushed it a little too hard. duh!!! I only have a scrape on my elbow and knee...I will survive. I thank God my neighbors were not outside. How embarassing!!! So, how do you know when you have pushed yourself too far??? I really didn't know until I hit the floor!!!
ONEDERLAND!!!! FINALLY!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO!

It's important to drink while you are riding in this wind, take a bottle of water along and stop and sip. I tend to pant and breathe through my mouth when I exert myself, and that, plus the wind, will just dry you out like nobody's business. If you drink while you ride, you'll be able to enjoy your ride a lot longer.
If you buy one of those water pack thingies (like a backpack only you carry water in it and a tube comes out of it--Camelback make em') don't EVER put anything bu****er in it-filtered or bottled. I put some gatorade in one once and what grew in the tube was scary....ewwww.
Bless your heart! We didn't go biking tonight because of that never ending wind! (I did have quite the date with the treadmill though...and Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD beginner level humiliated me!) I get those weak legs too when I bike in the wind or really push myself.
I hope you feel better soon and we need to pace ourselves in this goofy wind!
Inhaled bugs, crashing and jello legs are definite possible adverse reactions to biking! And, they take huge tolls on our pride! ; )
I totally applaud you for braving the wind tonight!!!
