no date yet
Hello everyone,
I just returned from OKC and met with all the great people WW and Dr Broussard. Everyone was so nice and informative. I was hoping to get a date for surgery but.........I have to lose 8 more lbs and have a cardiac clearance. I am hoping my PCP(he is not to positive about my choice to have WLS) will refer me to a cardologist to start that ball rolling and the other 8 lbs will be coming off soon. Feeling a little bummed but this is just a little hump in the road...I know it will be soon.
OOOKKKK!!! Thanks for listening.
Cheryl
PS I did have al little shoe therapy at Macy's...lol...kinda went nuts.

Hi Cheryl - Hang in there! I have been coming to WW since February. I had hoped to have had surgery in April, but it ended up being longer than i wanted. What i had to remind myself of, is that God is in control and I would have my surgery when He wanted me to. He's always on time even if we think he's running late!!! :) You'll have surgery soon!!!
Later-
Liz
Total Loss: 137 lbs
I understand the frustration of waiting for a surgery date. But all the hoops you have to just through is exactly why Walton and Broussard are so good with almost no complications. They know what to do to get us in the best shape possible for surgery. That being said, it still sucks to have to wait! But your day will come, I promise.
My sister, HappyCat, had to have cardiac clearance and they referred her to a doctor here. I know that's not very convenient for a Texas girl but she loved him and he was a bariatric friendly surgeon if you know what I mean. I don't know if it would be worth it to you to make another trip up here. Do you have to have a referral from your PCP?
Hope you didn't buy too many pairs of shoes since your feet are gonna get smaller after surgery and weight loss. I've even seem people post here and say their head got smaller too! Crazy!
Hang in there! Your day will come!

Cheryl, I was referred to Dr. Ghani in Edmond for my cardiac clearance. He did a stress test and another test with (I think) radioacitve type of contrast stuff. It was no big deal. I went to work that afternoon and did just fine. Don't sweat it. I really liked Dr. Ghani. It was nice to not have to defend my decision to have WLS. Denise
