Pre-op Appointment Friday

My pre-op appointment is on Friday morning. About the only thing that could hold up things right now is being able to obtain the medication I need to take before and after my surgery on July 7th. I am a carrier for Hemophilia (a bleeding disorder). Carriers also have lower than normal levels and mine is too low for surgery so I need to be treated just like a person with hemophilia to prevent bleeding. Kathy had been talking with the hematologist to find out what needs to be ordered but she is on vacation until the end of this week. I talked to Brandy mid week and she said the head of pharmacy and lab are working on it and she would get back with me but so far I have heard nothing further. I am going to try to call her again tomorrow to follow up. Otherwise, my plan is to not leave that office on Friday until the orders have been faxed to the pharmacy as it will take a few days to get the medication shipped to me, especially with the holiday coming up!

If there is anyway to make your surgery date happen they will do it.  You are going to do great.  I can't wait to share the loser's bench with you! Denise

Hey girl, I am hoping and praying that it all works out for you.  I know how you feel.  You have your surgery date in site and these darn issues come up.  I hope we both get to keep our dates and will be sitting side by side on that bench in just a couple of weeks!
