Amy is out of surgery!
Ahhhhh yes....nothing like having the old pillow and blankie and the Rum punch, and some fresh hot buffalo wings, pitcher of beer, chocolate mound of insanity.... OH MY GOODNESS....don't mention comfort things....lmao....
Comfort....I remember it like it was a week and a half ago.... damn the food porn....
So happy to hear she's adapting to her bed and surroundings!

Hi all you Oklahoma gals and guys.
I am new to the Ok board but I have posted on the regular website before.
I work with Amy (debtfree) and I had my surgery on February 25th of this year with Dr. Walton.
Amy say you guys are the greatest bunch. I have not been able to get to a support group meeting lately but hope to hit the next one in the middle of July. I am so gald Amy did not have the nausea she was so worried about. She has watched and listened to what I have gone through and I am so glad she decided to have this surgery. I know she will not regret a moment of it.
She told me about the wonderful trip some of you are getting to take next year with the cowboy from Tulsa. That sounds like so much fun.
Maybe on your next get toether I can join and meet you all.
We got an update not to long ago on Amy and she is still doing good. I told Randy he better be nice to her and do everything she tells him to do with no lip. :)
Hi!!!
Thanks for the quick reply. I will be at Lake Overholder on Saturday for a family reunion.
I have know Amy since 1990 when I started at the credit union and she was one of the nicest people that I met and became friends with. She was also my boss for quite a while. We worked in the credit cards together. I guess technically she still is my boss since she is a Vice President.
I know she had been researching it for a long time and then I told her that I was going to do it and have been a sounding board for each other.
I live over on Wilshire and Council and I need to find a walking buddy. Know anybody who would be interested? They built a walking trail over by Wiley Post Airport that looks pretty neat. I have been bad on the exercise and Dr. Walton got on to me at my last appointment. I need somebody to motivate me to exercise. I know I have no motivation of my own.
I have done great with this surgery. I think I am one of the lucky ones and do not have some of the problems that I read about on the other forum. I have been truly blessed. I have had my share of the foamies but it is not really that bad once its over. I have lost 60 pounds so far. Right now I am at a stall and need to do something to lift it. I never knew about this site before my surgery. Amy knew more about everything I would go through than I did. I had no idea that there were stalls in the beginning.
Well I know Randy will keep everyone updated on Amy but I still hope to meet everyone.
I live off Council and 23rd area. I have a membership at Aspen and go there to work out and float in the pool....Ok I do some water work outs too but on my own...no class. Right now, with the Apnea, I am exhausted so easily that it's an effort to get moving but soon I will have this and be me again....I also can't get to hot with the stents they say not to over heat......Maybe after I do this we can meet and walk. Let's stay in touch! Sherry
