Hey y'all.  Randy just fixed some double noodle chiken soup and strained it so I could have the broth.  Oh my goodness, I am in heaven.   Maybe later I will go out for one of my sugar free snow cone treats!  Oh and get this, I bought a shirt off the rack at Walmart!!!!  It was on sale for $5 and I just wanted to see what it felt like to fit into something in their plus size dept.  Granted it is a 26/28 but hey, I used to be a 34.  While at Walmart I picked up more SF popsicles but then noticed when I got home that they are SF creamsicles.  I can't have those can I?

Amy, No you can't have the sf cream sickles. You can have them on the week that you can have 1% milk. I can't remember if that is on soft stage 1 or 2. Some of the newer surgery peeps will know. Hang in there kiddo. You are doing well. Go back to wally world and get you some more popsickles. I'm sure you will need them in this hot weather.

Thanks Rita, you are the best!  Do you think straining the chicken noodle soup is okay.  I took several sips but didn't do anymore just in case it was not okay.  I also found the diet swiss miss hot chocolate. I'm going to try that tomorrow morning.

Yes, I think that Is fine. I wouldn't however add any spicy stuff to it. You want your new tummy to have a chance to heal inside. I also got egg drop soup and strained the eggs out of it. Shish, don't tell Dr. Walton. LOL

Amy I did the same thing with the soup when I was in the liquid stage.  It sure tasted so much better...specially after adding a little bit of cajun seasoning and pepper to it.

The soup is ok as long as you only get soup and NO particles.  No on the creamsicles.  They only allow popsicles because they are hydrating.  The Blue Bunny brand is the best! Yea on the Wal-Mart shirt!  That is fabulous and I'm so happy for you.  You wear the crud out of that shirt girly! I hope you are feeling a bit more like yourself today and not suffering the liquid stage too much.  I did find the 2nd week on liquids to be easier but then I think I've  already told you that!

I remembered you saying the blue bunny was the best but Walmart didn't have them.  I might try Buy for Less tonight since it is near my house.  I think mentally I am starting to do much much better.  I don't feel any hunger pains where the first couple of days I could swear that I did.  The only thing that kind of worrys me now is a leak.  I read where a girl leaked at 2 weeks and ended up in ICU for 2 months.  I sorta thought I would be out of the woods by now as long as I stuck to liquids so that kind of worried me.

The chance of you having a leak is very, very low with Broussard at the controls!  You will be fine! FYI - I got to talk to Broussard yesterday and he's the one that had me go in.  What a cutie!!!

Good to know.  I think I need to keep myself very busy for the next 9 days.  I'm going to stay home tomorrow and do my homework for class on Tuesday night.  I plan on doing some organizing in my house too.  I have 3 books I need to read.  I just need to get my mind occupied so I can't worry or think poor me thoughts.

That's exactly why I went back to work so early after surgery.  I needed something else to think about besides the last of food.
