Is strained chicken noodle soup ok? Also popsicle question
Yep, I had read that one before my surgery, too. It planted a worry seed in my mind. And, being a nurse didn't help either. However, when I read the brief abstract of Dr. Cirangle and Jossart's 5 year study, it said they had NO complications after 4 weeks. That helped a lot! Also, the reason I worried more was because of the illness that I have and the meds I had been on for years and years that prevent new cell formation. Even though I had been off the drugs for 30 days, it still hung in the back of my mind ... and knowing that this goofy illness can do stupid things. Anyway, I just ended up praying about it and choosing to wait until something actually happened before I started worrying. And, nothing happened. I know the other girl's story is terribly scary, but I truly think you're going to be fine.
It's wild -- I felt like I was having a steak dinner when I had my first broth. Now, I'm not sure I would want it on my sickest day !!! Sam's also has some sugar free popcicles that are good -- a little different flavor !! Congrats on the Wal-Mart shirt !! I hope you just melt away to where nothing fits you anymore !!! Glad to hear from you. Lynette
Lynette, I organized my closet and I have so many outfits to wear thanks to you!! I really appreciate getting your hand me downs! Hopefully I won't be in them too terribly long and can pass them on to the next victim...er...I mean patient.

Amy - strained soup should be fine. My husband made a big pot of vegetable soup (cause it's the only soup I like) when I came home from the hospital and I strained it and drank just the broth. It is so much better than having the instant broth/bullion - that stuff just tasted like salt to me. Congrats on the Wal-Mart top! I was there this week-end and got some tank tops for $3.00 each. -Anna
