Very frustrated I just want to cry! Please Help!
Karla, I am so sorry you are having a hard time! There is no excuse for your doctor or the doc on call not calling you back. That is not the way to run a medical practice.
I do believe that the sleeve is an easier recovery that RNY. It is a less invasive surgery since they don't reroute any intestines. You WILL get better! You WILL be happy you made the decision to have WLS. I promise- but it will take some time. Hang in there!

Karla ~ I know this sounds like a broken record, but hang in there. You WILL get better. Please let us know what you find out today at the doctor...and please, please, please go to the ER for fluids if the doc does not call you back when you feel dehydrated. There was a post last week on the symptoms. Really good info. I had to have fluids at about 2 weeks. I was throwing up and couldn't quit. The fluids made all the difference in the world. The next day I felt like a different person. I'll be sure to remember you and Heather in my prayers.
Hey, there. Another one saying hang in there. This too shall pass.
That being said, get to be very good buddies with my friend Fleet. He comes in enema and suppository form. He works very well in a very short amount of time (30-mins to an hour tops). I have used them twice since surgery...once was day 2-3 at home..I lose track now.
Dr. Walton gave me phenergren gel which goes on the wrist and is a little slice of heaven. I developed near dehydration because everything bu****er tasted so darn sweet, including the vitamins.
I now take liquid vitamins that I get from Dave who posts on the other 2 boards..he's known as Ragdoll Dude or check out my profile and look at my friends. You can contact him. It tastes much better than the other kind and is in your system in 3 minutes.
You should never have to experience that kind of care from your medical team. If you can't get an answer go to the ER at either Bass or Saints...Dr. Walton used to be affiliated wtih Bass when he was in Enid so they should be familiar with WLS patients..an x-ray tech there saved my son's life. I know it's a ways to travel, but it'd be better than nothin'.
((Hugs)) some of us have more pain than others. My daughter's MIL had WLS and her surgeon knicked her spleen and wound up having to do an open RNY..then she couldn't keep anything down but soup, and he had to go back in and enlarge the pouch..she waited a year which is too *&^*&^## long to wait..she was under 100 pounds and hair was coming out by the fistfulls..
Please take good care of yourself and demand attention..here's hoping the scope goes well.
