To those who had surgery this month.......
Hey Carrie! I am feeling good. I haven't had food for 10 days (counting today) and have 5 more to go until mushies. I haven't done any protien except for a few sips of Atkins Advantage. But, I haven't felt dizzzy or weak yet so I guess all is okay. If I start to feel bad I will try to drink some more Atkins. Mostly I think protein shakes are the most nasty thing every created. -Amy

I'm doing great....i feel strong.... i've tried a few foods over the past 2 days. finely chopped turkey (one spoonful), 3 cheese sticks (low fat, low cal), refried beans (one spoonful)....tons of water per day, one small cup of sf jello per day. I will admit that I had to throw up durng the turkey/refreid beans day.... i wasn't a happy camper...... So today I will just do an atkins protein shake and water. I'm sure I just shocked my pouch by trying actual food, I'll not be so aggressive next time.
I'm nauseous after i eat which I think is common for the newbie eaters. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before my appetite returns. Although i'm anthing but hungry, I do crave steak and brocolli. Other than that, i no longer have head hunger. i've killed the beast that ruled me for so long!
This morning I weighed in at 244 down from 272 during my surgery. So i'm doing great. i can't wait to go workout to get my body to stop losing muscle mass. After my incisions heal, i'll be hitting the gym daily and then running to get all of my tone and muscles back to where they need to be...

I'm doing wonderful. I've not been nauseated since I returned from the hospital. I'm still struggling with soreness but other than that everything I've ate and drank is staying down well. I've dropped 12 lbs since I returned home. I'm starting to see it in my face and it seems that my middle doesn't stick out near as far either. I've been drinking 8oz of Isopure 2 x's a day, I don't really care for it but it's a change from Whey Gourmet Pina Colada Breeze and Chocolate Peanut butter. I too am looking forward to the incisions being fully healed so I can return to working out at the Gym and water aerobics.
