How do I spice up my boring chicken salad?

Sambal is an asian red pepper paste type spice.....there is the kind that you cook with and then there are a couple of flavors that are to eat with rice and other asian dishes that are made with onions and garlic and alot of other flavors.... my family is indonesian and it is a regular staple in our house along with soy sauce and indonesian ketjup (soy sauce with molasses).  Its pretty good.
