I mowed, weed ate, showered and decide to lie down for a short nap-woke up at 8:30 feeling like crap-so I've been drinking water and protein drink-I think I must have dehydrated a bit working in the yard-although I drank a full bottle 24 oz of water PLUS swigged several times from the garden hose (yeah, I do that).

Thank you Denise-I really felt bad because it's not like me not to show if I say I'm going to.  I'm feeling better and still drinking water, but it just goes to show how easily you can get too dry in this heat.

On a brighter note, this time last year I wouldn't have lasted long enough outside to dehydrate....LOL.

I missed all who weren't there. Deb, have you seen those news stories about irresponsible pet owners up north? Today's msnbc news is full of stories like, "Woman has 117 cats, racoon and skunk living in home."

i'm really alarmed at the amount of hoarding that goes on-and I do understand the good motivation behind it....they want to help-but in the worst cases the animals end up having a terrible quality of life and many cannot be adopted once they are seized.  Cats are not mentally equipped to live in such tiny groups with high populations-they really are quite damaged from the experience, which isn't what the person intended.  It really does illustrate that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
