Congratulations on a great start!!  I too had to loose 14 pounds.  I gave up pop cold turkey and that really helped me.  I didn't want to fight that craving along with the head hunger.  I ate lots of fresh fruit and salads to loose it.  Good luck and I'm sure you will do just fine.

Thats to funny i havent met anyone yet that only had to loose a little bit.  I did give up pop cold turkey as well and pastas, that in itself has been more of a challenge than the pop because my biggest weakness is pasta especially mac and cheese!  I have been doing all of the fruits and veggys that i possible can and the doc said that was great i have cut my meat portions down to about 3-4 ounces and basically only drink about 40- 76 oz of water a day. I know thats a big gap but some days are harder than others to get it all in.  Do you have any suggestions on how to get the other 8lbs off by  august 21st and to keep them off once their there?

Im up for any help I can get right now!

I also had 14 lbs to lose but lost 24 by the day of surgery. I did it following Jessica's aggressive weight loss plan -- which is basically a low carb diet with protein supplements. I found it pretty easy to follow. And as much as I dislike water, the more the better!

I am so glad your visit went well.  I have been even more excited about your getting the sleeve than I was when I got mine.  I'm still struggling right now with extreme weakness but I am almost to mushies.  Hopefully it will improve my strength when I get to eat again.

I am so proud of you Melissa.  You are a beautiful person no matter your weight, but I know this will give you the confidence that you so desire.  It is a hard road to travel, but one that is well worth it.  Lean on me... ANYTIME... and lean on these wonderful people.  We will all help you get to the losers bench.  You will be there before you know it.

Love ya girl.
