MUSHIES HERE I COME!!

I can officially start mushies on Monday, however it is my first day back to work.  Would it be a mortal sin to try eggs for supper on Sun.?  Since I don't know how the new tummy will react I hate to start the first day of work and hurl in our back to school meetings which last all day and the thought of waiting till Mon night sounds so cruel.  You need to understand I leave my house @ 6:30 a.m. and will not get home until around 9:00 p.m. due to sons football practice.  FYI infection is looking very good.  Called Dr. B to see how long I would need to continue packing and he crushed me.  He said until it heals a couple of 3 weeks!!!  I just knew I could stop and he would glue me back together on my post op visit next Tuesday.

I understand about not wanting to eat something when you will be around others.  I just ate 1/2 a cheese stick on my first morning on the way to work because I didn't want to have an audience.  I didn't have my first egg for a few days because so many people have issues with that first egg.  Just go really slow and only cook one egg really soft scrambled.  I put a spoonful of cottage cheese thanks to Anna's advice and it was perfect.

I had the EXACT same question and even contacted Jessica at WW and asked.  She said it was ok to have something the evening before.  I started with cottage cheese and was amazed at how full I got and how fast!

I got the official ok so I'm passing it to you!

Thanks Kim, I ment to call her today and forgot until it was to late.  We had DH's grandmother's estate auction today and was too busy bidding on stuff I don't really need but hated to see go outside the family.

I have not had any trouble with any of the mushies. As others suggested, I did not try scrambled eggs as my first food. Refried beans and cheese sticks go down the best. Cheese sticks are easy to eat on the go. While that might not be the recommended way  to eat, life must go on and sometimes that is the only way to get in a meal -- especially in your case. I really like the snackable sticks -- cheddar cheese never tasted so good!

My faves were ff refried beans with cheese and a dab of Pace Picante sauce. Sooooo good. Eggs really didn't do it for me until the second week when I could have any style and I boiled them.

Glad your infection is progressing well. That's really not a bad timeline. I know how crushing it is. My infection was packed daily from October 28 through Dec. 9, but I reinfected.
