If you can stil find them, get one of the little inflatable rings you float your kids with in the pool. Adjustable pressure and will act as a cushion and just might do the trick. You can make it as firm or soft as desired.

Just be ready to explain to the little ones why ya are sitting on the couch and not in the pool with it.

I am definitely going to try to I will be a month out by then and able to eat mushy stuff yeah LOL I am looking forward to the baby food stage next week. Hmm never thought to hear myself say that but to do something besides drink will be heaven. I mean I have had Popsicles and jello but to eat say pureed turkey on Thanksgiving will be divine.  I just hope I can keep it down. I have to force myself to eat at regular times as I have zero appetite right now even when smelling something really good.  I turned the corner about 3 days ago and am able to move pretty freely now without the soreness. I did have a freak out moment when the drainage from the tube changed from real watery to the thick stuff and increased. (happened the first day I was up and able to move easily and I was scared I had done something wrong)  but a call to OWLO and though they said it was normal on the phone he was good enough to have me come in after he finished surgery and check to make sure. Made this newbie feel like an idiot but also even more comfortable with my doctor.  And I had already lost 13 pounds just 9 days out. I was like wow when I saw the number on the scales.

Did he explain that when you move around more that the drainage would do that? I have one that went from a bright red to now a dull lifeless pale pink. And when I move it comes gushy out. The stupid tube fell off of the ball and boy was theat an eye opener. I pureed progresso soups during the baby food stage and kinda mashed up normal foods. My Mom never gave us the jarred baby food so I kinda made my own. Uh pureed turkey is not that great..tried it. Try just the gravy you get the taste not the ucks

Yes he explained it but when it got all thicky and mucusy looking I thought it had gotten infected.  As matter of fact as they were about it I figured they got my call alot LOL! And the lower incision where the pin rose drain was also turned a dark yellow color at the same time so yeah I freaked out. I have gotten used to having to change the dressings 2-3 times a day now.

It came off a ball? no I don't want to know. How is the infection doing? Better I hope!

the ball is what the tube drains into.lol
I had a scarelast night when I had my dressing changed on the left side of my lower incission it was soaked with blood with a reddish string attached to it. I called and was told to go to the ER in Moore so there I went. Of course when I get there my bleeding had slowed down. And I became the pin cushion again for blod work and then got poked with q tips to get samples for them to check if I have another infection in me. THANK GOD my white blood count was not elevated real high or I would be in the hospital...wil find out tomorrow what the deal is and what she is going to do.
Right now I am real tired and am fighting the urge to lay down.
As the nurse said i am an expert on infections and what can go wrong...Made the male nurse bust out laughing when he was redressing me...I looked at him when he picked up my jp drain and asked did you enjoy playing with my balls....OMG the look he gave me was priceless..it was shocked laughter and what do i say back to her....his answer was..uh I have never had anyone say that to me before..we both laughed
