Could someone tell me why all the talk about hair loss?  Is it just with RYN or with Lap Band also?  Thanks.

It has to do with the malabsorption aspect of the surgerys that help us lose the weight. It is one of teh reasons they are so addamant about getting in the multivitamins and every bit of proyien that you can. Some lose it easily and some do not lose any at all.

Hi.
It's important to remind yourself that hair loss is a fleeting problem. The hair should grow back, and, in the meantime, you can get creative with hair pieces or a new 'do! :)  The resulting weight loss and positive life changes will make it all worthwhile.
Blessings,
Mary

No kidding - with Rapid Loss (I had VSG), I lost a BUNCH of hair. It is growing back - I have little baby hairs all over my head.  I think that really no one noticed too much - but I have the worlds thinnest ponytail ever; but then again, I think another 5 pounds will put me in a size four in just over 7 months.  I'll take the tradeoff.

One thing will make you lose hair, is not enough fat in your diet.  If you are using alot of fat free stuff instead of the light or regular, that can do it also along with the malabsorption problems caused by RYN.
