Does anyone know anything about Keystone Lake, Lake Oolagah (sp?)?  Husband says he is thinking they are pretty nice... I would be willing to check it out in a few weeks when I am closer, he says Keystone is near Sandsprings. If anyone else knows of another chime in and let me know.

Anyone willing to help would be wonderful.... I would say we need at least the following ....

Food Committee (pot luck maybe but keep an ongoing list of who wants to bring what, or everyone brings their own lunch, we can already plan to do our own ice chest of drinks.
Activities Committee. (On the activities could be both Adult Games and Kid Games)

So who would like to be on what? And a team captain for each. I will be a Captain for the Activities (could do 2 here if we wanted to split up for Adult and kids) if someone eise will do the food.

Found this ok Lake Keystone :Lake Keystone is the perfect place for great fishing (striper, walleye, bass and catfish), boating, water skiing and swimming. There's no better place to enjoy the lake than from beautiful Keystone State Park. Combined with the excitement of nearby Tulsa, it's an excellent way to spend the day on the water and the night on the town.

Located on beautiful Keystone Lake, this park offers 22 lakeview cabins with fireplaces, community center with kitchen, picnic sites, group picnic shelters, 72 RV sites and 82 tent campsites, comfort stations with showers, lighted boat ramps, playgrounds, hiking trail, fitness trail and full service Pier 51 Marina. Two cabins feature Jacuzzi tubs. We have DirecTV in all cabins. The park office also serves as a cabin office, information center and grocery store. Seasonal restaurant is located in the park at Pier 51 Marina. Enjoy fishing, boating, water skiing and other family fun activities.   So if anyone wanted to camp overnite they could, which that sounds like fun to me and my crew.

Sassy,
Mrs P and I are both less than 5 miles from the lake, she can probably see it out her back windows in the fall she's so close.  At Oologah there is a sand swimming beach, picnic areas, both tent and cabin camping, they have a marina with rental of Jet skiis and sale boats, how cool is that?  They also have hiking AND riding trails but I don't know how many horsey people are on the forum that would like to do that.  Anyway if you decide Oologah I could even offer up some of my hay field as free camping.

Hey there Sassy!  Count me in and I'd be more than happy to help out.  I would like to be on the food committee since I don't have a creative bone in my body for activities.

Hugs,
Marsha

I am not sure if I have anough creativity to plan the activities but I know if we are going to be at the lake I will be bringing the fishing pools, frisbees, and balls.  I will most likely stay over night and camp out. Do we need to figure out how many are coming and if we need to set a date in concrete and reserve a area for us.

Sounds good to me.  I'd probably camp and show up at the picnic if we selected Keystone.

I would think Keystone would offer more than Oologah.  I live right here on Oologah and it is clear water and a nice quiet lake.. It doesn't compare to Keystone..  Keystone water is more dirtier, but offers more activities for everyone over all.

I think it sounds like a GREAT idea and would be happy to help out with planning.

Let me know what you need,
Sheila

I think it sounds like a great time and would love to participate and assist.

However, my idea of "roughin" it is no room service. Depending on the date,  I would be willing to check out hotels in the area and see about group rates if we could get a head count....

Lori,

The state park where we would be camping at, have very nice all inclusive cabins..  Very reasonable too, if I remember right..  Full kitchen, full bath, you can pick any size you want..  So you shouldn't have to stay in a hotel away from the park..

Hope you can make it,
