Wow, Angie, congratulations, girl, You have really worked your sleeve and are a great inspiration to everyone. Keep up the good work! It is wonderful to read your list and know that many of them are so much like the list in my head. I flew to Houston this summer and what a wonderful feeling it was to sit down in seat and not worry that the seatbeat might not fit. People that have not faced these problems do not have a clue how very painful these situations can be.

Happy Sunday!
I wanted to introduce myself. I am Krischna, I live south of Norman. I had RNY done on July 15th, and have (so far) lost 21 pounds. WOOHOO!!
I am very interested in starting a support group of sorts, a group of people that can get together weekly or every other week, do discuss issues, feelings, changes and to support each other on our wonderful journey.
Anyone in this area interested?

You are doing so awesome girl!!! I'm so proud of you! I know what you mean about snacking more easily. I battle that every stinking day. I watch Randy in the mushie stage and am kind of jealous knowing what I know now. Funny, in the begining you can't wait to be able to eat a little bit more and have more variety but after a year or two out you wish you could have a few weeks of those early days back because you are so much more compliant to the diet!

Topic: RE: Dr. Brousard's Weightwise Seminar
I certainly understand a lifetime of yo-yo dieting and failed attempts at diets. I know I could not take it anymore and with a BMI of 60(?) I didn't have much of a choice. My life depended on it. Yes, it is about a lifetime of changes and about a tool that will help you make it a lifetime of changes. However, the doctor knows best and does not want to subject you to unnecessary surgical risks. Most people with a BMI over 35 are facing much more serious risks than what the surgery would present. Their pre-op program is very good and very aggressive. If he determines you do not need the surgery, I am confident that with the weightwise program you can still be successful. You just have to stick with it. Although, MOST diets work long term.... if you just stick with it. So, not a good point, I get that. I do hope you are able to have the surgery and enjoy the life you deserve. If not, everything happens for a reason. I highly recommend you do not try to gain weight just to have the surgery. I can not see how that would benefit you in any way.
I, too, opted for the sleeve! It truly is an AMAZING tool!
Best of luck to you!
