This does not sound like dumping to me just based on the time frame.  And, any kind of pain that wakes you from a deep sleep and has you curled in a ball should be investigated immediately in my opinion.  It's always better to be safe than sorry.  If it is nothing, then the most you can regret is lost time in the ER.  If it IS something, you'll thank the high heavens that you had the foresight to be proactive.

Have them call your surgeon, for sure.  Hopefully you are at the emerg where your barriatric center is located.  Good luck, and keep us posted.  Feel better soon!

I think everyone who uses this sight should be careful about giving medical advise. It's really important if you are feeling bad to go to the hospital that did your surgery. They are very helpful and will put you through quickly, has been my experience.  Also very concerned about how little you ate in one day.  Do you ever go to the support group from your hospital?. Ours at Humber has a social worker and dietitian in attendance once a month and they are the one's to ask advise from. They are so what concerned that so much medical advise is given on this web sight.   I think we all have to realize our systems have been really altered and we need to speak to a professional at our clinics if in the day time or go to emerg.
Sorry if I sound harsh but none of us our doctors or nurses in this specialized area.

 Huh??

People aren't giving medical ADVICE. People are sharing their experiences. That's why most of us are on this SITE. What's more almost everyone suggested that she go see a doctor.

I can completely relate to disliking hospitals however, if you still have a gallbladder you really need to go to the ER.  It sounds like a gallstone may be trapped in your bile duct...which can become pacreatitis very quickly.  I know from experience those symptoms ( ones I think I'll never forget )from years back.   Was sure ( at 28 years old ) that I was having a heart attack....pain started under shoulder blade, came around ribs, and sat right at the bottom center of my ribs, had chills and sweats ( like a bad flu ) and got to the point that I couldn;t drink even water!!
Good Luck, I hope you feel better
