I was cold before but when the temperature took it's nose dive this week I have literally lost all control of my body!  No joke, I literally sat INSIDE the Clarkson Pump yesterday during lunch shivering right through my bones and that was indoors when I was wearing a shirt, a hoodie, AND mittens!  No joke!  Ask Karen she saw me with my mittens!

I am now 206 pounds down and I no longer have my "winter insulation" so how do you keep warm when your kidneys are knocking against each other even when you have 2 sweaters and a down filled winter coat on?

I hear you.  I go between freezing and roasting.  I cannot bet my internal temperature right.  I drink ho****er.  I find that helps.  I used to love drinking cold water but now can't stand it.  I wonder if that will change come summer.....

I did treat myself to long silk tights. (the Bay has them). It feels like 2 pairs of pants when you have them on. They also have t-shirts with short and long sleeves. They are wonderful.

I had this problem before surgery so worse now. I find layers like you did the best but you might look for some insulating shirts from a sport store like Mountain Equipment co-op. I bought some leggins recently which I often wear under my pants. I need to get some liners for my mitts and some insulated socks. For me it is my hands and feet that are the worst and that it seems to make me cold all over.

Good luck

Layers are your friend. People have a giggle at me because I have footy fuzzy Jammies. Yep, it's a onesie. And I still wear socks! Lol

As I get older I also feel the cold more. I use the extra layer more frequently and keep toe and mitt warmers in my coat pocket for extra warmth. Once my hands are warm I move them to an inside pocket to take the chill away. You can get them at Canadian Tire in the hunters section.

I am always freezing and I am pre-op...soooo worried about how it will be after!  Long thermal underwear are in my future.

one word ladies... OMNIHEAT (from Columbia).  I bought their winter coat and two pairs of base layer long sleeve shirts (basically long sleeved undergarments) at Sportcheck.  Expensive and SO worth every penny!  Went to MEC yesterday and was disappointed with their base layer stuff, all seemed very bulky to me, and if I'm dressing in layers I don't want to look like the Pillsbury Doughboy when finished!

I ran to Sports Check when I saw someone post about the gloves and of course its just me, but those gloves do nothing for me, its like I'm not even wearing anything.  But like I said, its just me....I will probably need to wear another pair of glves in them to try and keep my fingers from freezing...lol
