Pre-op Guelph Hospital folks...

Just curious however everyone is finding the process. Does anyone mind sharing wait times. I understand that even after orientation, your next appt can be months down the road. Is this correct? Thanks folks.

I went through Guelph as well, my referral was sent in October 2010,

I had my orientation in October 2011 and I had my surgery October 25th, 2012!

I know at TWH you can call in and see if you can get earlier appointments if there is any cancelations. Have you thought about doing this.

Yes, I def considered. I think that I will do that. I am going with my friend next week to orientation - her orientation.  I am going as a friend support. My orientation is not until March 7. I think it is funny that I will be going to it twice .  lol oh well I guess I will have a really good understanding of the process.

My referall was sent in May 2012, my orientation was late October 2012 , and my next appointment is February 15th 2012.. hang in there!

I'm going to guelph as well and they have been very nice so far! I had my orientation oct 18,first set of appts with nurse ,nut and sw nov 22 and pre-op diet class dec 5,and just had my second set of appts with nurse,sw and nut this past friday ,now I'm on the waiting list to see the surgeon ,but that will be a bit of a wait from what I hear.#it overall the process has been pretty fast!

That is a great name! I am going through Guelph as well, My referral went through Jan. 9th, 2012, orientation Oct.18th, 2012, first set of appt.'s Dec. 3rd, Diet class Dec. 12/ 12, second sw apt. Jan. 21st, 2013, and 2nd nurse and dietician apt. is Feb 6th.

They told me at my first appointment that if everything is ok then they can send me to the sergeant after that.  So hopefully everything will go fast after this.  So far everyone in Guelph are very nice, your going to enjoy going to the orientation class.  Keep me posted on your journey!!  Good luck!  Add me as a friend so we can keep in touch.

I was at Orientation in Guelph on Jan 4, and my first appt. is the first week of April.

I believe my husbands referral was sent in at the end of May 2012 ...orientation was August. He has had all of his appointments and now has to see the Doctor Feb 8th,...then he has a surgery class and then finally see the surgeon. Hopefully he get his 2 last appointment dates after seeing the Doctor. His assessment center is Windsor but surgery will be in Guelph.
