Guelph orientation letter?

It's been almost a month since my doctor faxed the referral. I'm getting antsy...who/where do I call to see if I'm on any lists?

Good Morning... It does take awhile so try your best to be patient... Believe me I know how it feels !!! You can email the registry at [email protected]  to confirm they recieved your referral and also you could call the Guelph clinic at 519-822-5350 x. 2700  to see if they have your referral from the registry. They are all very nice and will let you know the wait times ect. Good Luck ~ Lynn

Hi.. I went through Guelph.  I do believe they are faster these days but I had my referral April 19, 2011 and didn't get my invite to orientation letter until March 2012.    And the Orientation was June 2012.    

But take heart. I do understand they have more funding so watching others post I am pretty confident it is way faster. And the advice you were given to call and confirm they have your referall is important. And perhaps you can ask how long on average these days to get an invite to orientation?

My referal was sent early in February, and I called the clinic at Guelph to confirm they got it at the beginning of March.

At that time they confirmed they had it, and told me the wait for orientation could be 4-6 months....BUT I got my letter yesterday and I go April 11th.

So you may get a letter this week too, or you may be inline for the next one??

I know the waiting is hard....

My family doctor sent my referral in October 2010, and my orientation letter came in June 2011, for orientation in 

October 2011 and my surgery was October 25, 2012.  So it may be a while yet before it comes, however as Dar_ said

they are starting to move faster now.  It's well worth the wait so hang in there

I emailed St Joes and am waiting - I called Guelph this morning and they don't have any record of me...she said it could take up to 6 months before I hear anything? So disappointing. :(
