Mild freaking out happening...
So whilst filling out all the paperwork for orientation next week I noticed all the psych questions and I'm supremely worried about it. I didn't hide anything I was completely honest and I have my psychiatrist and therapists go ahead, and even a letter from my therapist saying it's OK. but still i'm completely paranoid they will reject me. Is this a rational fear? I guess I've been so pumped since the day my referral was sent out that i'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop...
Do you any of you have experience with this? Are my worries warranted?

My orientaton is next week too and I have the exact same fears! *lol*
I know that my BMI qualifies me, but hoping they don't find out that I'm crazier than a bowl of Fruit Loops. 
Referral Oct 2012~Orientation May 31/13 at Ottawa Civic~Dr.Dent assessment July 16~Nutritionist and Behaviorist Sept 17~ Ultrasound Oct 17~Second appointment with Nutritionist and Behaviorist Nov 6~Approval for RNY!!~BLADDER CANCER DISCOVERED~Currently undergoing treatment for cancer, plans switched from RNY to sleeve...~GOT DATE FOR SURGERY...AUGUST 18th, 2014 with Dr. Yelle*....February 7/17...2.5 years post up and doing great. Starting process for OHIP funded panniculectomy...
Well I'm glad not alone! Hahaha! I'm sure many people have mental issues and have surgery , or at least i hope so!
My shrink is sooo behind this because apparently the less cortozone(i think!) you have in losing weight the better your brain gets. According to him;)

If you have everyones OK it should be OK.. I can tell you this though, you have the same fears as everyone else. so that is normal :) Just be honest! As long as your on meds and your mental health issues are being worked on and you are stable it should be fine! It is untreated mental health issues that cause the most concern. and I know you are dealing with yours!

I think everyone fears being denied, the psych questions bothered me as well. I always wondered, what do they want to hear. But as long as you are honest, that's the best you can do. It's better to be honest, then find out that your lie will cause problems later on. You have your therapists approval, so if they have issues, they can refer to that as well.
You'll be fine, I'm sure of it.
