Hi Everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted here, as the first little while after the surgery had me concentrating so much on my eating, I was kind of burnt out on thinking about much of anything else.  I've had ZERO complications after surgery, save some constipation and fatigue. (Knock on wood...)

The question I have for you, since I'm horribly impatient about waiting for answers, is simply this:  Do you start pureed foods 2 weeks after the RNY itself, or after you go home from the hospital?  I don't want to pu**** since everything is going so well, but I'm just as eager to start trying something with a little more substance, you know.  (Although the cold tomato/cucumber/green onion soup I made in my juicer has been a GODSEND these past few days.)

It's a small NSV for me, down a whole "X" in my clothing, but I'm already down to 333...and I look forward to keeping that going!

Hi, I had my surgery the day after and I am planning on starting on Wednesday, two weeks after surgery.  I don't think I can go any longer...Do you have the recipe for that soup?

Becky

Hey there, I kept it pretty basic...into the juicer went 3 medium to large tomatoes, 1 whole cucumber (skin and all), and 2 green onions.  It made about 3-4 cups of juice/soup, so it lasted a while.  When I prepared it for a meal, I added 1 tbsp of 0% Greek yogurt, as well as a tbsp of protein powder. (And salt an pepper to taste)
