Almost got a surgery date!
Saw Dr. Glazer and Dr. Huynh this week. All is a go. Dr. Glazer feels my medical problems can be managed. My blood thinner may be an issue though. I take Pradaxa and have to stop 72 hours before surgery, then probably injectable thinner while in hosp, or start transition to coumadin. Cannot take pradaxa after surgery, not recommended for bariatric patients post op.
So I would have got a surgery date... but my surgeons secretary is on vacay, so she should call me next week with a date.
I signed all consents, have my pre op package, I bought my 3 weeks of optifast today.. so ready to go.
Can't wait to get this party started
