Have My Date

Just yesterday evening I posted on this board wondering how long it takes to get your surgery date after authorization from insurance. Well I found out....got the call this morning and my date is December 20. Great Christmas Present. Jeanne

Wow Jeanne, that is great. This year will be a wonderful gift but wait until next Christmas!!! I was just deciding to have this surgery a year ago in December and now am 7 1/2 months out and I thank God each day for this gift. Finally a Christmas where someone might buy me clothes and they would fit! Julia

Julia thank you for the kind words. I read your profile and I am just totally amazed at how much you lost and all the great things you do. I am older then you and I was worried if that would cause me a problem but Dr. Patterson is not at all worried. I hope you get a whole closet full of new clothes in that size you thought you would never wear. I'll shoot for a new summer wardrobe. Jeanne

Jeanne, I am totally amazed myself! It has been a wonderful thing in my life. Again good luck with your surgery. Time will go fast and your date will be here before you know it. Time goes too fast this time of the year anyway. Julia

Congratulations! My surgery was December 15, 2004. It really was a great Christmas present. I had a protein drink for Christmas Dinner. There were like 20 people, eating turkey and all the trimmings, it was a little weird, but oh so worth it! Erika

Erika: Thank you for the kind and insperational words. I read your profile and that is just amazing. I'll look forward to that glass of protein for Christmas dinner. My daughter just had this surgery done at OSHU and she is doing so, so good. Guess this is going to be a family thing. Jeanne
