Struggling through my pre op liquid diet. It's spiking my sugar levels and I feel crappy. I'll be cleaning my kitchen and grading my last batch of research papers (Thang GOD!) but I am feeling so anxious today. I work by contract and my contract expires in 9 days and I have not been notified if it will be renewed. With surgery coming up next week, I'm a bundle fo nerves.

Hi Pam and PA.
What an absolutely fabulous day, weather wise. I am at wor****il 4ish, then home to pack and relax until we hit the traffic for the shore. Really looking forward to three days down there. Somehow we managed a weekend with no visitors. That's very usual for a holiday weekend, but we aren't questioning it...just plan to enjoy the solitude. I'm looking forward to our long walks on the beach and then some SF ice cream and a roadside stand near our place. Can you believe they have over 30 flavors of SF soft serve...yum!
Have a safe and enjoyable start to the summer everyone.

The place is called Little Danny's. It is on Route 47 heading into Rio Grande. It's before you get to Menz's (the big seafood restaurant) on the left hand side. It's just a little roadside place.
If you're going into North Wildwood, you don't pass it. But it's definitely worth the extra miles if your hankering for some peach soft serve...yummy!

Morning, all!
Today has me at work for most of the day then going to my daughter's boyfriend's HS graduation dinner at his family's house. His dad's a chef, so will be doing all the cooking and this is the first time we're really meeting them, so it has the potential to be a really odd evening. Becky has "prepped" him about my food restrictions (still on pureed, no sugar, etc.), so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I'll have a pouch of smart chili and yogurt with me just in case and will offer to have that in lieu of him having to prep anything special just for me. Kinda awkward, though.
Tomorrow, I'm filling in for a friend an lab assisting a metalsmithing workshop, so that will be fun. Lots of hammering and forming metal (silver, bronze, copper), great for taking out frustrations and working the biceps :-).
Becky then asked if we could go to Six Flags on sunday... i fear it's going to be a complete madhouse, but said possibly yes... Sigh. We'll have to see.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
