Hey, I just noticed you live in Wilkes Barre. My mom lives there, up behind the VA hospital. I usually go up in the summer to go thrift store shopping. Hugs, Trish

Hi Trish,

I live about 10 minutes from the VA. I'm actually in Plains, In fact, my aunt and uncle used to live in the complex behind the VA!

After reading all the posts thus far...I just have to say....

We are one predictable group of people right about now!

I can't decide if that is a bad thing or not?  Sometimes in our world of "crazy", status quo sometimes works out better! :)  (That was supposed to sound sarcastic - NOT deep! :))

Either way...sarcastic or deep...it works!

Good morning all!  I hate to be the happy morning person amongst the hump day blah poeple - but....here I am - Hey - if you were to talk to me about 3ish in the afternoon - I am the most miserable person.....Don't Hate! (That is what my students would say! :))

Today has me at wor****il 3:15 - more graduation practice this afternoon - love to spend 90 minutes in the unairconditioned auditorium without windows and about 100 - 14 year olds!  (Actually I do love it, but don't tell them that! :))  Right to the pool to get a few laps in - I hope - and then home to shower for a dinner with some of the women that I am traveling to Israel with this summer. So looking forward to getting to know them!

That is it for me - hope you all have a nice day!

Morning folks!

Today's my 6-week followup with dr. Pupkova (even though I'm actually at 7 weeks today!), so i'm looking forward to getting on the scale there and getting my "official" weight.  As of this morning on my scale, I was 225 (woo hoo!) ... that's 45 down from my consult weight, 33 from surgery!  YAY!!!!!  Can't express how much better and more energetic I feel!

Today's also D-Day for my hubby deciding whether to take the early retirement/layoff package at his work, so there's a lot of angst roaming around.  He's not a person who deals at all well with change, but this package is just too good to pass up, so I am really hoping he takes it and doesn't "chicken out" at the last minute.  It would be so good for him to leave (he hates the job, commutes 1-1/2 hours each way on 202 and 287 in NJ) in so many ways.  Sigh.

Heading to work after seeing Dr. P - gotta get a bunch of programming done quickly this afternoon.  Then hopefully tonight Katie and I will be hanging our new living room drapes, which we found at Penney's on Monday night.

I hope all of you are well and happy.

Hi Trish and PA

Another frizzy hair day for us curly heads!

Have fun with the kids - so far weather is cooperating. I know you are all in count down mode.

I've been to the gym and am now preparing for my class at Ch Hill tonight.  I get so frustrated by the quality of work (or lack of, I should say) by these college students.  It's pretty frightening to me.  It doesn't feel any different than teaching the young ones in elementary school.

Have a good day all.

Arlene
