****Thrilling Thursday Roll Call****

Good Morning Everyone,
How is everyone today?  I was beat last night...the first couple of weeks of school are like running a marathon...and I am not physically up to speed. 

Anywho, today has me already having done twenty minutes on the bike.  Felt great.  I also took psycho-pup for his daily walk and business.  Now, I am eating breakfast and getting out the door to school.  After school, it is walk the pooch, and maybe take him to the dog park, if I have the energy.  Then, I hope to watch the Phillies do some damage to the Nats.  They were awesome last night with those homers.

Good morning!

I made a trip down to Jefferson to see Lisa and Hailey yesterday afternoon.  Spent a lot of time talking with her mom before i got in to see them.  I know Lisa and Russ appreciate all the prayers and support....please keep them coming.  It will be a long road but Schnib is holding up and the baby is a fighter. 

As for me, I am heading to Lancaster today for my 3 year follow up with Dr. B.  Although, if their billing dept and KHPE can't get it together, it will be the last time.  Don't tell me they are in network and then f*ck around with me for a year after the visit has been done.  Funny how I only found one person that cared to give me the time of day to try and figure it out and its not even her job to deal with insurance and billing.  At this point, I can get any bariatric doctor to follow my labs and there are many excellent ones around and that are in my network. 

After that, I will be heading into work and then home.  Tomorrow...work and the gym....Saturday is promotion day at karate...hopefully I know my stuff by then!!

That stinks about Dr B's office! KHPE was who he did my surgery under - of course that was when he was at Barix - good luck with the follow up!

Thanks for spending time with them and for passing on our love and support.  I will continue to think of them!

Ugh they really are going through some growing pains, and with staff leaving it is hard to get any real answers. It is just me, but I would see Dr. B INN or ONN. I wish you safe travels, wish I could have seen you.

I would also like to see him in or out of network...but what if there is ever an emergency and he needs to go back in and fix something...if he is out of network I am screwed...I can't afford thousands of dollars in medical bills.  the thing is Lancaster General comes up on IBC's website as in network...just not him.  Its all too confusing for me.

I will say that everyone on in his office is wonderful...its the billing dept through the hospital and KHPE that have their heads up their butts.  the woman in his office that has been helping me is awesome...she even sat down with me when I was there...and she is working on figuring it out even though its not her job to deal with insurance. 

I'm in the same boat HG.  Last time I went up to see him I was given an upper GI and I'm having to pay OOP for it to save my credit score.  And, I checked with KHPE before going to him.  Just got a new bill for Dr. B from LGH for the actual time he was reading the upper GI.  That bill came for the first time about 7 mos. AFTER the procedure.  Gotta pay that one too.   I had referrals, but evidently should have had a pre-cert from KHPE since it was LGH and not my local capitated office (which I was told wouldn't get it right, I did ask prior) and no one ever let me know that.   So far it's over $300; I'd hate to see an emergency situation too. 

KHPE is rapidly going downhill in service and our company is actually being dropped by them because they've lost so many subscribers here.  It's a shame, they were fabulous when we got our WLS.  I have to switch come January to Aetna or a PPO.  I think I'm opting for the PPO as my docs are not in Aetna. 

I am glad i am not the only one (well not glad, but you know what I mean)  I was beginning to think I was the one getting it wrong.  Someone is f*cking up somewhere.....
