duh i know fred of hollywood....i was having a duh moment.
i see them online. but would rather try them on in person. kwim?
i found an old bra (underwire) that fits, and doesnt hurt. but a little bit of cleavage wants to come outin the front. i prefer to keep it all tucked. not one to show off the cleavage. we dont have boscovs here locally, well, bout 45 min away....our mall only has penneys, sears, vic secret and bonton. i think im 40d. but as someone said , every bra is diff, depending how its made. im so frustrated. you guys have helped a lot. i think this is a great topic we all deal with, so thanks !

Best suggestion I was given..... get measured by someone who knows how to do it.  Sadly, the cup size shrank!!!.  (I got smaller and so did my girlsLOL)

I used to hate underwires, but now that my body has changed shape, I'm thinking about giving them a try!

I gotta say... the "getting measured" part is right on the money.  And I, too, used to hate underwires with a passion, but now they're actually comfortable - more so than the ones without.

I've changed cup and band sizes 3 times so far since surgery in late April, and I figure it'll change a couple more times before it all settles out.  Sigh.

Victoria's Secret rocks if you're in their sizes.

BUT... there's also a place call "The Bra Lady" (or Ladies - can't remember which) just off Street Road in Hatboro.  It's been a while since I've been there, but I'm planning to go back soon.  You make an appointment - it's a couple of "little old ladies" who know their boobies!  Professional measurement, perfect selection and advice, and they even do custom work if you're hard to fit.  WELL worth it!

80% of women wear the wrong bra size and lots wear them incorrectly yes there is a right and wrong way to wear your bra.  I do bra fits all day at work and I have to say if your bra hurts you are wearing the wrong size.  Nothing should poke or more or jiggle.  tape measure fits are NOT 100% accurate so go somewhere that will check the fit once it is on your body not just measure and sell.

A few of the girls on one of the other sites swears by the Balconette Bras from Lane Bryant!!  They suggest them all the time, other buy them and fall in love with them as well!!

I'm of no help for my brand, because I need padded bras.....so it looks like I have something!!

Others have mentioned measurements, get that done it helps so you know where to start!!  I learned (because by mom & sister got measured, sister got all my boobs) that you want to wear the clasp....SNUG.  The looser the around band is, the lower the girls sag!!  My mom & sister thought by tightening the shoulder straps up were good enough, but they weren't wearing the around small enough!

Good luck!

There are never any problems, only solutions.  quoted by a dear and special friend!!!

My stats:
Starting weight 234 lbs    Height 5 ft 6 in
Goal in 7 months (127 lbs)
Currently: 120-123 lbs
Tops Small   Bottoms size 2!!!!

well update..i bought a bra at victorias secret.  they measured me at 38d. they spent over an hour giving me bras to try on and checking to see how they fit. ive never shown my boobies so much ! anyways, they finally found one bra (that was discontinued) that seem to fit.  pfft...i was a little upset that the first day i wore it, to wor****pt falling out of it ! they wouldnt stay inside where they belong. thank god i only spent 1299 on it.  im still in search of the perfect bra.  im thinking of trying bali's , i see they have them at sears at the mall. and if not, maybe the playtex 18 hour someone suggested. thing is , i hate it when they have the seam down the front and middle..lol so we shall see. thanks girls for all the advice !
