I have been going back and forth with Lisa via texting.

She is waiting for Hailey to be seen in the emergency department of Jefferson Hospital in Philly (where she was transferred to shortly after birth)

She began with a fever of 101 today.  Lisa thinks her feeding tube site looks infected, but that's not certain yet.

Will update you guys when I have more info.  Russ and Lisa's parents are with them.  I also told Lisa I would go down if she needed someone to kick some nursing ass :)  I had offered to come down immediatley, and she told me it was up to me, but with four adults there, I'm not sure how many they would let into the room (many ER's have a 2 visitor policy) and it sounds like Lisa has great support there now anyway.

Pam,
Thanks for the update. I will be saying a lot of prayers for Hailey, Lisa & Russ. I am so sad that she is back in the hospital. I can't even imagine how Lisa deals with this on a daily basis.

I spoke with lisa on the phone briefly...

Apparantly her g tube site started looking red and swollen yesterday.  This morning she had a fever of 99.  She called the pediatrician and they saw her in the office.  At the office her temp was 101.  They wanted her surgeon to see her to evaluate her g tube site as it was definately red swollen and had some puss around it.

When they got to the ER the ER staff was going to call Hailey's surgeon.  They were still in the waiting room when I spoke to them.

Prayers going up, and good thoughts going out to all involved.  Hailey is a fighter, and she will emerge from this ok, I'm sure of it.

Prayers and thoughts from this group work QUICK!!!!!

Schnibb is home with Hailey as of about 8pm tonight :)  The g tube site was inflammed, but not infected as per the doctors.  They released her from the ER to home.

Hailey had not been fed in 8 hours, so that was the priority Lisa was tending to when I got the news that they were home.

Thank you again!

Pam
