Got my drain out today

My drain was removed today and I already feel 100% better.  8th day post op and already down 10 lbs from the day before surgery.

One word of advice to all pre-ops... Never and I mean NEVER sneeze with a drain in place.  It is a world of hurt that NOBODY deserves.   I speak from first hand knowledge.

Sounds like you are right on track.  Way to go

sorry you had to deal with the sneezing issue.  I didn't have a drain, but I'm sure it was not comfortable.  Glad you won't have to deal with that again.

Congrats!

For those who have or will have drains, perhaps splinting the area with a pillow (pressing a pillow firmly against the side the drain is on) when sneezing would help alleviate some pain.

Keep on successing!

I happened to be standing and the sneeze came on very suddenly.  I tried to grab a pillow but none were close at hand, so I braced my right arm against the drain and dealt with it.  OUCH!
