Morning all - better start getting some sleep at night now, Liz - pretty soon you won't be getting any! Hope the legs calm down so you can rest better.

I'm at work - no biggie there - just another day. Not much on my agenda either. Boring....

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone -

Work til 3:30 and then I'll hit the gym after work.  I've been working on my honey trying to get him to join me at the gym.  I got a "maybe" out of him last night.  Hopefully he'll meet me this afternoon and we can work out together.

That's it for me.

Have a great day all !

Lisa

Good morning, all!

Liz---I hope you get some relief and can get some sleep!!!

Lesley---Good luck with your surgery!!!

Absolutely nothing on my agenda today.  Trying to decide if I should go to the CareerLink office today or tomorrow to find out about money for school.  Maybe I'll do some baking today.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Good morning Liz and everyone - Liz - so sorry that you are going through all of this!  While pregnancy is a WONDERFUL thing, it wreaks havoc on our systems.  I hope things calm down soon.

My day is as hectic as usual, wor****il 3:15, Eye Doctor appointment at 4:30 with Molly, 5:45 family Therapy appointment, and I would LOVE to get to Barix tonight.  Although I am running around like a chicken without a head, I know that if I stay home tonight and don't go to the meeting, I will more than likely just sit on the computer or in front of the TV and not get anything done anyway - so I am still not sure what it is that I am going to do tonight.

Tomorrow is going to be another crazy day!  We just found out that the teachers have a tentaive agreement and the ratification meeting is tomorrow night at Temple University.  I, like an idiot, took on the roll of trying to round people up to get a bus to take us to the meeting.  I will have to cancel two appointments that I had scheduled and figure out a way to get the girls to and from their girl scout troop meetings.  All of this for what I fear is a terrible contract and I am very nervous for myself and my colleagues - and most importantly our students, because of the frustration that their educators are feeling.  Should be an interesting day to say the least!

And - another 6.0 earthquake after-shock in Haiti - what is going on these days?!?!  Scary if you ask me!

I hope you all have an uneventful day!  (Well, that is what I am wishing for myself!)

Steffi, when I was teaching in Michigan, we faced some real issues with a new contract. One of my friends (who was and still is notoriously CALMING), said these words:

Be thankful for employment.

And in these times, perhaps they are truer than ever. Still and all, I woudn't want to be putting people on the bus for that meeting.

Morning everyone!

Just a real quick drop in as I have a ton of work to do today. . .

Liz hope that you get some relief from your leg problems and sleep, guess your body is getting you ready for the deprivation part of having a child (wink, wink ;)).  . .

Hope all goes well with Leslie today!

Nicole, I wish you the best outcome possible.

Everyone else, all I can say is I am grateful to be employed and living life.

Wishing you a peaceful day and if you are struggling or facing one of life's tougher situations, I wish you strength to get through it.

Hugs, Laureen

Morning everyone!

Nicole, good luck and find peace in your decision.
Lesley, sending you lots of healing thoughts for your surgery.
Steffi - get your butt to the meeting. You know you want to see us FUN people. We're SO much better than the TV or computer.   ;-)

Today's the first day of classes, which is always hectic.  I realize I'm jinxing myself, but so far it's not been too bad.

Got to the gym this morning for a nice (but rushed) cardio workout - had to get to work a bit early, so that put the pressure on.  So basically just holding down the fort here until the end of the day, then grabbing some sushi and heading to Barix for tonight's meeting.

Last night the kitchen installers came out to do the official measurements and project planning.  We got to spend a couple of hours with them planning out exactly how everything was going to work and working out the details of a lot of things I hadn't thought of.  This will be a big projects but SO exciting!  I cannot wait for it to be done!  The fun should start in about a month or so, when the new cabinets are delivered - that's when we'll start demolition of the old kitchen and put the new sub-floor in and such.  Whew.

And I have to say that the main contractor guy was major eye candy in a totally unexpected kind of way - will be really easy working with him - haha!
