Monday Roll Call

Jo,

Does he have a cell phone that contains a calendar function? Or use an outlook calendar on his computer?  Borrow his phone or computer and plug in the important dates (birthdays, anniversary, valentines) and program a 1 week reminder for him (or a 2-day or whatever his attention span is).  Do that as part of your "gift" to him, so that you don't have to feel bitter every year!  (It's a gift to both of you, because I'm sure he feels awful about it, too.)

I've learned over the 22 years of being married to someone who can't remember things like that - you have to be proactive in reminding them about things that are important to you, and to state your expectations.  Otherwise, you end up with a "bitterday" instead of a "birthday" every year.  That reminder "Don't forget - my birthday is next week - and I'd like to go to dinner at XXX and a movie" (or whatever) means that I have a really enjoyable night without the "did he remember" angst.

Just a thought.

Karen, you are so wise. I DID remind him quite a few times and we dicussed it a little last week.  and it's written on the calendar. So oh well. I really don't get "mad". Just a little disappointed.

He just called and said he was picking up a rotisserie chicken so I could make Enchiladas for dinner. LOL.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Morning everyone.  I've been at work since 6am and am working till 4pm.  I hate this early mornings because I never get up early enough to prepare a good lunch for myself.  Yes, I know I should have done it last night.  Not much else going on today, trying to get in to the dentist to get my tooth taken care of.  I think I have a cavity or something, because the pain I had last night was miserable.  Stay warm everyone!

Great weekend of play with the little one.  Today brings me back to work.  Doing documentation this am..*yawn*.  Then have to head over to another office later today.

Tonight I will be going to the Y for Zumba and then play time with the little one.

At work today I came in early because my co worker texted me last night and informed me she would not be here. I am here buddy so I am responsible for her cases as well as mine. Sorry to say that she and I had the largest number of cases on our whole team. Yay me.

After that I am going to see my therapist yes i have one...more about that later. Then maybe dinner with a friend I have not seen in awhile. I really dont want to be out that late but if i dont see her tonight dont know when i will.

Got alot done in the house this weekend, so at least I can not worry about that this week. Will be out everynight this week.

Good morning PA and PA neighbors (like me!),

I'm at work today and I had to admit it actually feels good to be out of the house!  We got about 2.5 inches of snow where I live on Saturday, and since I'm still wearing a surgical boot I couldn't go anywhere all day Saturday until yesterday afternoon. Talk about cabin fever!

After work I plan to go to the gym for some yoga and some recumbent bike. It feels good to be back at the gym but I'll only really be happy when I can go back to Zumba. 10 more days...

Have a great day, everyone.

I broke my foot the beginning of february 2 years ago and it was horrible being out in the bad weather. Hope that your foot feels better!

Thanks, Liz! It's definitely better but I'm super paranoid about safety -- I didn't want to take the chance that I'd slip and fall in the snow.  Plus the boot leaves my foot pretty much exposed so even going out in the extreme cold we had on Friday was painful. I shouldn't complain though -- this whole process has been a breeze and on the 9th I get my bandages off and can wear a normal shoe again. Yay!

Morning, Friends!

Didn't sleep too much last night due to Eddie's snoring, so woke up grouchy, irritable, and TIRED.  Didn't go to the gym because I tried to get that extra hour of sleep in.  Woke him up before I left and demanded that he make an appointment TODAY to get something done about it - it's like sleeping with a chain saw.  GRRRR.

Am at work now until 4-ish, then head over to prep for teaching tonight.  I hope I can stay awake today - feeling really groggy. Won't get home until about 10:30, but was actually organized yesterday and got TOMORROW's food planned and organized then.  Woo hoo!

Hopefully will be able to sleep tonight for more than half an hour at a time and will be able to go to the gym tomorrow morning.  Sigh.
